going down the 10 and this white evo mr rolls on off the on ramp, i move around traffic catch him and i looked over at him and he gave me this smug look like he was hot $h(t i shot a grin and then dropped 3rd, pulled till mid fourth and had to slow down cause traffic,
next pull we were even then i had to swerve around a car and was back right next to him and he had the most confused look on his face it was holarious

good point, i know i have pulled up next to a few of them and threw them the shocker and i get nothing.
one day i was getting gas and this evo pulled up behind me and waited for me to leave, then followed me around town for an half an hour trying to race me, so finally i gave in and got smoked. but later came on to the local awd forums and he was talking **** saying how he raped me in the rain, and i was following him around wtf. and just keeps talking ****

 

ya it was a evo 8 mr , i just got intake , pacesetter header, and a 3 inch cat back , its the second evo ive beat but the first mr, and for the subi guy he had a sticker of a subaru with a x through it on his bumper

If someone threw the shocker at me, I'd ignore them too. I think it's probably the most overused symbol ever. Plus, I've always thought it was pretty stupid. A thumbs-up or wave works a lot better.

Racing in the rain is not very bright whether or not you have AWD. If you raced in the rain, you just fell into an idiots trap.

Evo owners can be jerks, but it all depends. I don't spend much of my time on the Evo forums. I do spend a lot of time on clubwrx. Been a member of that site for a long time. I like it better than Nasioc.

I drive an Evo, and as far as I'm concerned, the only car gods are the Enzo Ferrari, S7, Carrera GT and the like.

So don't put them on a pedastal. It's just a car. Regardless of popular opinion, any car can be beat with any other car giving certain conditions. The second you think your car is unbeatable is probably about the time you will get schooled by a car you thought was beneath you. Sorry if you think Evo owners are dicks, but they come in all shapes and sizes man.

What about a $5K Honda with a few grand worth of work?? Keep the Cobalt stock and see how it goes. Since you're comparing a modded car (mildly or not) and probably a stock car.

I'd be willing to put my $35K car with 3 simple mods (MBC, TBE and Tune) against a Cobalt with similar mods and see how it goes. Even with my jacked up clutch, I'd be willin to do it. I can see if I can set something up with someone local and see the results. Unless someone is around Jacksonville, NC and is interested.

Price doesn't mean anything as far as speed goes. A 70K Corvette and a $200K plus Ferrari are similar in speed. Is it sad if the $70K Corvette beats the Ferrari?? Maybe to some. But the other guy is still driving a Ferrari, which is just a better car than the Vette. Plenty of other comparisons that prove the point more. I just wish people would get passed the price vs price debate.

Defnitely not a Stage 2, or Stage 2 w/ full bolts on and a 2.9 or 2.8 pulley. The only guys you need to worry about are the ones with 60# injectors and 2.7 pulley's or lower that have tunes and meth and things of that nature. Even then most of them would never touch you from a dig because they haven't figured out where to buy slicks. Cobalts do good from a roll but so far that's about the only place they shine. Your car just pulls too hard for a midly modded SS. My Stage 2 SS never put me back in the seat like your Evo, then again neither has teh STi.
