06 Cobalt LS(Jn2) Vs. New Cobalt SS/TC(1100psi)

http://pixelpipe.com/item/f68cf901-0...d-482c963e9c8c
http://pixelpipe.com/item/bf6bbbae-6...3-939d443d09e0

dont know if those work but i tried to upload them..things to remember, its a bone stock TC...his screen name is 1100psi...that being said:

him:
ultra high performance tires
competitive mode
close to 100% threading on tires
no lift shift

me:
all season tires(30% life in the front) 550thread life rating
bad passeger side wheel bearing
heat soaked from the highway runs we had just done before this
didnt really get to stage myself...damn light turned green too soon

the highway run was from a 40...i held my own for a long time considering my mods...im on a 2.25" exhaust, which is smaller than the stock ss/sc so my high end is crap

You wanna know a fact. I launched at 1000 RPMS and Missed 3rd.

While still having the stock tune which means boost limited in first and torque management.

The best part of it all.

You still lost. HAHAHAHAHA

Sweet we can run from a dig again next week.

This time I'll actually use Launch Control and launch @ 5K.

I think its hilarious you've spent all this money.

You have Intake and header and downpipe, a Custom tune, a Blower on 13 or 14 LBS on a bigger displacement motor, YEARS to do mods to your car to set it up to how you like it and you cant pull a Stock TC that I have had for 3 weeks and put 500-600 miles on and not having even touched the tire pressure?

I dont understand your point? You SHOULD WIN and you didn't? Thats what I don't understand? You have a bigger motor with more mods on the same amount of boost with an ULTRA GOOD KUSTOM TRIFECTA tune! You should have won!

Because if I got pulled by 2-3 cars from a 40 roll and lost a dig race where the guy missed a gear and launched like he was drinking coffee I would be on a dealership lot the next day trading my **** in. You have THOUSANDS invested into your car along with having it for years to make it quick and you cant pull a stock TC? Im sorry dude Im not impressed @ all.

2.2 with an M62 with Intake, Header, Downpipe, Muffler, Custom tune, on 13-14 Lbs. Should make around 240 WHP. With a more linear power band and Boost right off the hit. I didn't even brake boost and you guys still lost. And the first run against your buddy we both hit it at the same time and he still got pulled by @ LEAST 3/4 of a car.

And he is running FULL exhaust, intake, Custom tune and 15LBS (2.8 pulley) On a 2.2 motor. That car should be making 260-270 WHP and it still lost. I dont know what to tell you guys. You all SHOULD have won. Plus I guarantee your BASE model cobalt is lighter then a Shitbox SS.

I obviously respect your setup enough to think IMHO that you should be winning or at least running dead even. My boost takes longer to come on you weigh less have more intake and exhaust mods, you should honestly be winning or running a lot closer.

... You expect a car that comes with 130whp from the factory with a blower added on to run with a stock TC that puts out damn near DOUBLE the horsepower stock?

hey jn2, aren't you on a 2.9 pulley not 2.8?

don't superchargers without dual pass, and other cooling mods get heat soak really bad? so regardless of whether psi readings are the same...the volume is different vs a turbo?

just because he has a larger engine doesnt mean **** 1100 psi. the ss/sc was designed with the 2.0 for a reason. it has a shorter stroke and revs much quicker than the 2.2 eco. you prob think the 2.2 & 2.4 guys who place the m62 on there cars will make more power than the stock 2.0 ss/sc, because its a larger engine. well, that is not always the case. the ss/sc 2.0 motor has stronger internals, and is all around more suited for the blower. dont get me wrong though, m62 2.2 & 2.4 balts can be made to be nasty.

i think once he fixes somethings on his car he will be a much better race. so dont start **** talking just yet.

(to clarify any confusion my post may cause, i used the ss/sc as an example for why a larger displacement 4 cylinder wont always make more efficent power over a smaller displacement engine.

fukin ls's thinking they can keep up with us.. bah! I look down my nose at those wanna be's.....

kidding of course.... but there are 1100psi type people behind the wheel of every car. Through all the bs, he does have a point. I would have placed my money on the ls as well with all those mods against a bone stock tc.

Staged07, were talking tc here, not sc.

he was talking about the 2.2 he raced and how it had a larger engine thats why i commented with what is in my post.

this is what he said:

"You have Intake and header and downpipe, a Custom tune, a Blower on 13 or 14 LBS on a bigger displacement motor, YEARS to do mods to your car to set it up to how you like it and you cant pull a Stock TC that I have had for 3 weeks and put 500-600 miles on and not having even touched the tire pressure?"

i was stating why the larger engine has nothing to do with making more power, and used the ss/sc as an example that is all. i know we are talking about the ss/tc in here.

thats a race i had against 1110psi
not gonna throw out any excuses.
it is what it is. i have a 2.8" pulley, with dual pass. 42s.
i pretty much always let off at 100 mph in a race.

mods coming up.
60s, meth (both in the mail)
and an ls3 tb (sitting at home), since i couldn't use the lsj tb due to a pigtail pin difference. currently using stock l61 tb.
i just need the adapter(italian joe is gonna machine it for me) to hook it up to m62 and the zzp 3" intake, then of course a retune from vince.
for it being an ls that i paid 11k + 2k in supercharger mods it does okay.
plus i like surprising people and telling them i supercharged it myself.
either way its my daily driver and gets the job done

its a nice car, and i think once you button some things up, it will run just fine against stock ss/tc's

thanks for the compliments!

thats what i like about racing, is when people can have a positive attitude about it.
not just bash because they lost/won. or throw out lots of names and have an obnoxious or deameaning attitude. otherwise it takes the fun all out of it

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...obaltSS_SC.flv

there is another video vs a friend in dallas.
he had me at launch, but since i had a smaller pulley than him i caught up and passed him at the end. its hard to tell by the video. i actually just found that video because a friend of mine with an sti sent it to me saying i was on youtube :p i downloaded and put it in my photobucket.

Those mods and your happy to beat a bone stock tc by only a car ?
And yeah if I were you I wouldnt care either about what would happen once the tc driver starts tuning and bolting. You know I am being an ass....
