this thread

HP is how fast you impact the wall
TQ is how far you go through the wall.

TQ doesn't mean **** on baker's roll races, it's HP.

I thought some of you were smarter than this.

Obvious thread is too obvious.

This just proves that if you put enough money into the Ecotec cars, you can make some real power.

Both are fast cars, TC needs a little more power band.

I wouldn't say that. He was not being arrogant or cocky like a lot of the SS/TC guys on this site. He was just confident he would win.

I don't blame him. The SS/TC guys think they sit on a throne on this site. He was influenced by all the other people on this site who think the snail is eleventy billion times better then the blower.

Add to the fact that a lot of LSJ owners don't know how to get every last drop of hp out of their cars. So you have a lot of LSJ owners bashing their cars cause they can only get 260whp out of an aftermarket stage kit.

I am glad that I could open a few eyes and even out the playing field a little...

Yup. I sold it to Zach06CobaltSC back in March.

Excuse my rant. It wasn't directed at anyone particular. The level of igorance has sky-rocketed here lately and it's quite unfounded. I think the TC is great and all but lets be realistic.. The TC is putting up slightly better 1/4 mile times making a supposed extra 50 hp. I don't get it!

Like what? That the TC isn't as good as some of you would think?

Says the guy who is running 13.7 @ 103.

The powerband on the SC (Especially TVS) is greater than the TC. It's all in the driver.

I have ran a TVS on a 2.9 pulley and full bolt ons and I had him by a half car on my 20psi tune (good driver too).

Sure he was a good driver! What's funny is you ran a 12.9@110 with "330 hp"? Notice the quotes. That's ******* weak as hell!

IDK

The second run was our best start. I almost put a full car on him before he missed his shift.

In the third run he was half a car ahead of me, got a slim jump and I still pulled half a car on him at the top of 3rd.

Maybe watch the video again?

Thats what he meant, you beaten the driver, not the car, he said he didnt used no-lift-shift.
And the last race seemed pretty even until he shift in 3rd, i pretty sure it could have been a very close race, not that i care if your car was faster or not... its just the way it look.

Heres a ottp SC vs stock and then trifecta tuned 20psi LNF race.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPplA0UhBkU
I know the one with the LNF, hes stock minus the tune.

I posted the vid to ask where is the top end advantage of the LSJ considereing they are close in power each other ?

Its not like night and day difference to me.

Really?

So a stock long block, M62 powered LSJ has already beaten a GMS1 mod'd SS/TC? I was not aware that has ever happened before.

Do you have any links?

All that video proves is that a OTTP SS/SC is faster then a stock SS/TC. In this case the the hp are close to each other.

And

That a Trifecta tuned SS/TC is faster then an OTTP SS/SC. In this case the SS/TC has a huge advantage.

I may be a little late on this, but for all the money you have in your car to just beat him isnt that exciting lol.

Also, what does the "typical LNF owner" line mean? Are you trying to make a generalization that were all dumb or something? Because that sounds pretty stupid to me...
