07 tsx

Had my first race with the cobalt tonight, I'm stock performance wise besides an intake.

The TSX is my good friends, an 07 2.4 (vtec I'm pretty sure). He's got a Comptec icebox (intake), hondata reflash (chipped), all pulleys are upgraded and 'gaskets' is what he said. Idk what the gaskets do but whatever haha.

It was a 40-110 pull and I had him by almost a car..quality kill?

The TSX's are slow but it's a good motor to build from if they are willing to put some money in them. A TSX 2.4 bottom with an RSX-S (Civic Si) head are really sweet together. They take boost really well and are pretty stout, just not powerful from the factory. I had a Comtech Icebox on my Acura. I really loved that intake and how it was designed.

The gasket he's talking about is the intake manifold gasket. I never did one but supposedly they pick up a few ponies by switching the stock metal manifold gasket for a plastic one which transfers less head to the manifold.

Hondata sells gasket upgrades that are plastic instead of the metal ones that are set between the intake manifold and the block. This is said to reduce the temp 15 degrees in the intake and boost horsepower. Hmmmm......one gasket does all that crazy honda corp.
