i agree, the new edition with the spoiler and the body kit makes it a bit more manly, but as a whole the car is too smooth... like the g37...

yea i had a 3rd gen eclipse.. it was a chick car from the start. Even I can agree with that.. I put alot of money into it to make it a man car though

Not a fan of many foreign cars. I have yet to race one, but I really don't look twice when I see one. Around here its mostly women in the drivers seat.

 

I think they are nice looking cars, the style is ok. The power plant is good for a v6, but the problem is it is very heavy and fwd doesn't usually do too great when it has a lot of tq and a lot of weight to pull. THen the interior has like no space, even though it's a very large car.

I'd rather own the 4 banger hyundai genesis. Which is honestly slower stock for stock.

But I'd like to have the v6 genesis as a daily driver, if they made it in a drop top.

 

the V6 genesis is a pretty awsome little car. Better to mod than the 4 banger, but more expensive

An SC isnt a good match for a manual 4th gen Eclipse GT unless its driver sucks. Honestly it will get the SC decently easy if the drivers are equal.

 

stock for stock, the ss/sc and the eclipse gt are a driver's race. But the ss/sc can easily beat the eclipse gt with something as minor as a raised rev limit. A stock ss/tc should dominate those fake ass dsms.

a stock sc vs stock 3.8 gt manual eclipse the sc will lose period.

Hell your Stage 2 is barely quicker than some stock times ive seen people pulled out of them.



So with that said since the best you could do is pretty much a 13.8 maybe you should polish up those driving skills a bit. I mean since a stock eclipse gt is so close to your stage 2 SC.

 

He said a Stage 2 Cobalt SS/SC will fall behind a stock 09 Eclipse and I said it would not. I agree that a stock SS/SC would lose. Sorry about the knock on your skills but I thought you were the guy I QUOTED at first. Plus how would you know, you drive a 2.4 right?

 

i raced a hyundai genesis 3.8 before, from a 40 roll, each time i would hold it off until 120... every race... multiple times, at the time i had intake and header, their gearing isnt the best it holds them back

 

x2 on the Eclipse being small on the inside. For that reason alone I wouldn't buy one.

 

the visibility is horrible too, it feels like a cockpit inside
