Never heard of someone losing their job because they took their car for a rip.

If you're in jail it's hard to make it to work, and some peoples jobs require clean driving records.

I'm a mechanic for a luxary car dealership. Have to have a clean driving record. There are a few safe spots to go near me but even just driving around, my car draws attention. Full bolt on mods, 23 psi tune, full 3 inch catless exhaust with muffler delete, and it's bright yellow. And also I get every kid with a beat ass civic with a fart can trying to race me when I'm just driving normally. Got my points off my license finally and I intend to keep it that way lol

If you meant street race then I hear ya. You can still take your car for a rip without getting in trouble with the law. At least what I consider taking the car for a rip. Just hammering down on the on-ramp is ripping on it IMO. For me it's about the acceleration more than high speeds.

Yeah, I haven't gotten on it in a few months since I put the new clutch in, haven't even put 1000 miles on it for break in period. And whenever I do drive it, it's either to work and I don't get on any highways or when my wife wants to take it to dinner but I cant rip on it then cause she's pregnant and it will make her sick lol. I brought it work today cause it sat for almost a month and it's suppose to snow bad this weekend and I wanted to shake the dirt off of her and recharge the battery. Plus if it gets slow today at the dealership I can cut the rear rotors and replace the pads and do my once a year fuel induction service to clean the intake valves. If I ever sell this car, who ever gets its next is gonna get one mechanically sound and well kept car

Very nice. I wouldn't rip on it with pregnant wife either. Or with any kids in the car. Maybe just a micro-rip if they are old enough.

all about where you probably are with bolt ons and gms1.

would be close.

until you get a custom tune. Then you should pull well on him.
We finally were able to get a couple runs in on my trip to Mexico! He had been dealing with a vac issue for the last couple months so weren’t able to race. Last couple weeks my clutch has been slipping a bit but he had gotten his vac leak fixed and was making full boost again. We went from 25 and 40, both runs he jumped and from about 60kmh to 100kmh we both just spun, around 120 I had pulled a car length, at around 180-200 I had about 3 lengths, not too bad for a slipping clutch which luckily held better than normal? and bald potenzas.

sounds pretty typical to my buddies SRT and my other buddies LNF. SRT jumps out on the LNF then the LNF just pulls away from the SRT.

I was also the one honking and it sounded like he was loading up (brake boosting) but I think I could’ve pulled a couple more lengths with a new clutch, the custom tunes really wake these cars up!
