Leaving work I see this dark grey cooper come right up on my ass.. I'm like ok whatever, I keep driving and I hear him drop a gear, I just stay in gear because there was a red light coming up.

I hear the tiniest faint whine from my rear, sure enough he changes lanes extremely aggressively and passes me. I smiled and gave thumbs up out window, thinking I'd have no chance against that thing.

So we get to the light that enters onto the overpass, which goes to the highway. He's revving at the light infront of me, it's popping and crackling. Changes to green and he dumps the clutch so I say screw it whatevr and took off after him.

Top of 1st gear he has 1 car on me, top of 2nd same deal.. 3rd gear I start pulling, literally had to let off 2-3 times. He was on it hard too...

That shouldn't have happened. I thought they were quick cars. Googled it I'd say it was a 05, only like 160hp/160ftlbs, even then he should have taken me easily because of his weight I would think.

Not really a race per say, but I was surprised as hell.

 

They are not fast. Handle really well though. Too fruity for my tastes.

 

friend of mine had an '07 with turbo. I was not impressed.

 

They're slow but I'd imagine faster then you.

be fun to put 300 hp to that little thing. anyone ever see one of the old original ones. lol they are so tiny I don't know how anyone can fit it them

 

If a guy drives one of those he should just hand over his man card.
