they can run 13 flats witha competent driver, some have broken into 12's. no chance if he can drive.

Keep in mind the 13.3 was for an awd car, and you really dont have to have all that much power to get good times on that platform. With that said, you are still giong to get stomped.

nah its an 08 model has been comfirmed to be in US and CANAADAADAADNADNAA!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!! showrooms 2nd quarter on 2008. But there is also been rumors that is will arrive late 07 at the same time as in japan. The new supra will be kick ass but out of my price range, its going head to head with the big dawgs so I hope u gots the monay.

P.S. Canadians have been dying for an evo for many years. A toronto dealer emailed me with a price range of $45-49,000 MSRP which is competitively priced with the STI

07 STI - $48,995 MSRP

What kind of track times are you putting down? Other mods? For you to obtain a 7 car length beating on an SS, you would have to have some good mods, it was a 2.4, or he wasn't raceing..Just wondering

omg the intelligence level of this thread is unbelievably LOW

there is no 07 evo AT ALL, your friend is obviously one hell of an idiot if he thinks he has one and if he does he probably shouldnt be owning it. 2nd evo's will rape any ss s/c as long as they can drive and plus most evo's are modded anyway. 3rd for the idiot who said he'll wait for when the next supra is coming out is a complete moron and toyota has said they won't be making another supra, jesus christ you people

end rant and flame

(beat you to it)

PS- Toyota does have a replacement type car for the Supra on the way. It will not be called the Supra. It's gonna be so far out of my price range I didn't bother reading much on it, but it's looking to compete with the new "Skyline" GTR.

the new mr...no. like i said before it can break into 12's stock with a perfect driiver, so expect mid-low 13's easy with an average driver that doesnt ***** foot the launch.

cMwomg - don't rant or flame on what you don't research first

shabodah - by the way i read in motortrend today that the Toyota Supra (yes still the same name plate) will be coming out as early as the 3rd quarter of 2008. base price will be just under $30k with a NA V6 similar to that of the Lexus GS with somewhere between 250 and 300hp for a zero to sixty of about 4.5 seconds. a twin turbo may be possible however the magazine also added that the 4.3 V8 wasn't out of the question either!!!

imo imports should leave the v8's to the domestics
TT V6 is definetly the way to go

Everyone is an expert these days...

No 2007 Evo (that i know of anyway)
The supra name will be brought back (if its as good as the old supra, we shall see)

No stock SS/SC will pull on MR. From a Dig I was dead even with a modded 04ish after I caught back up from the awd launch. From a 35 roll I walked by a car, maybe a little more.

I had S2/I/E/ETD and can drive, the evo was pissed and didn't want to talk after, dont know the mods besides Exhaust and I don't think he was the greatest driver.

Moral of the story, go race and find out! Every driver and every car is different.
