300ZX vs Race car Civic
It was a pretty dark night as I made the journey home from work in the 300ZX. The whole journey thus far had been pretty uneventful. The only excitement I had, had was watching the Tunerstudio Autotune feature changing VE table settings as I drove.
I was about 3 miles away from home as I passed a gas station that affectionately calls itself the "Gizmo" when a highly moddified race car Civic blasted out of the parking lot and flew up on my rear bumper. He knew this 300ZX was no ordinary machine. I could tell he was eager for a race as his head lights were so close to me I could no longer see them in my rear view mirror.
My first instinct was to demonstrate just how well the Evo IX Brembo calipers work but I caught and restrained myself. "Let's see what this Honda has" I tell myself. Since the VG33 has far superior torque to the little Civic I didn't even bother to pull it down a couple gears. I just pushed the accelerator to the floor.
As the throttle opened the Precision 6262 began to spool up. The 300ZX began to accelerate and pull away from the Civic when suddenly I hit an untuned VE table! The AFR's tanked into the 8's, the VG33 sputtered and choked, and suddenly the Civic was on my bumper again. Knowing I was beat, I let off the throttle. When the throttle was shut all of the unburnt fuel in the 3in turbo back exhaust ignited! It belched a giant fireball much to the Civic drivers surprise.
"He must have Brembo's too" I mused as he instantly pulled several car lengths back away from me. He stayed back a good distance until I reached my turn off, when he then put his Civic to the floor to go by. He obviously decided he wanted nothing of the fire breathing monster that was in front of him. Let that be a warning to all the Race car Civics out there!

Thanks guys. I thought about writing a book once in high school. After a few chapters I lost interest. I don't have a big enough attention span I guess lol

The other day leaving work, I accelerated onto a road and in doing so I happened to make a backfire + blow off valve noise. I didnt realize it but I did it right next to a boywonder racer wanna be. He had an amazing little gem, the super rare O.Z. rally lancer. The boy driver must have been about 17 or 18. The car had an exhaust and to my surprise did not sound raspy and bad. It must have just been a muffler swap then. The boy worked his way past the two cars that were ahead of him to catch up. Once he was next to me he made sure I knew he was serious, he dropped a gear and punched it hard, I heard the cutest little tire chirp and it made me smile, I waved at him and he smiled back. He continued to slow down and speed up to show me the raw power of the O.Z. rally lancer 130 bhp 2.0 liter engine. It was breathtaking. when I got to my turn, I gave him a thumbs up and he continued to show off down the road making exhaust rev noises and speeding up and slowing down. To this day, I will never know if I could have won that race or not. I wish I accepted his challenge just to see how well I would have done.
Woulda coulda shoulda, am I right?
