I can't even begin to explain how many people think I'm full of it when I tell them not to take Cobalts so lightly.

Friend of a friend has an IROC camaro. LNF owner walked up and asked to run, he said sure. I told him not to because he was going to get raped. His words were "By a 4 banger? No way in hell"

Cobalt raped him...

People say that because they can only win from a dig. My friends the same way. He loses rolls but does better at digs.

This ones for you. I know someone personally that owns a Camaro SS 10' that ran 13.08 @ 108MPH Stock. With the modifications the OP has done... he would ass rape that. The Cobalt has more head room, leg room, and just a better daily driver. Plus it's cheaper. I'm not bias, I worked at a GM dealership so I know and have driven pretty much any common GM vehicle out there.

People say that because roll racing takes literally no skill at all, you are just letting the car do the work for you. Is it fun, sure, but one car is always getting a handicap. I would much rather win dig races.

Well it also takes almost no skill to launch an AWD car so is having an AWD car like roll racing?

drag racing on the street lvl require no high lvl skills, keep eye on the road listen to rpm, shift.
get to the single digits and thats different.

Ha! Launching on the strip requires less skill then launching on the street.

I've seen plenty of people bog AWD cars bad out of the hole. So there is some semblance of skill involved.

So what if the Cobalt's F/I? It's not a handicap to either car. If you engage in a race, you're racing what you have, no excuses for the outcome.

Well in the end the same amount of boost on 2 modern motors with the same size F/I device, the larger displacement motor will make more power.

That's besides the point though. If you're gonna race you can't complain about losing because your car is N/A.

I was actually siding w/ you in this argument. Why complain about F/I on a 4 banger when you've got twice the cylinders?

I'm not trying to make an argument with anyone. Just a discussion. And I don't think they're should be any complaining at all. You race what you have and accept the outcome.
