Called out by a 2007 JETTA GLI..

Does anyone know if the gli's are fast? any advice will be helpful.My co-workers Gli is stock by the way and my 09 Cobalt SS tc only has a downpipe+ exhuast....

royce777 07-30-2014 06:03 PM

race for pinks and $$$$

andrewcarr1993 07-30-2014 06:05 PM

Race for as much money as you can get because you'll destroy that thing stock vs stock your car is lighter as well as having significantly more power.

reybalt 07-30-2014 06:11 PM

I just bought my 09 cobalt ss and it is fun to drive. Could anyone tell me whatis the besy gear to start from in a roll race?

DSmastery 07-30-2014 06:11 PM

Thanks for the tip. I might just start from 40 . My coworker is very confident he will win since hes willing to bet his paycheck too $$$..

user 72239 07-30-2014 06:22 PM

Bet him his paycheck

tell him you want to do a 40 roll, start in second.

This will be him.

Nooooo Monicaaaaaa

LNFTX 07-30-2014 06:37 PM

IF that gli thing is stock he should end up owing you a lot of money they aren't fast or even quick,peppy at best

bmartz1991 07-30-2014 06:45 PM

Just don't miss a gear.

andrewcarr1993 07-30-2014 06:48 PM

Let someone hold the money so he can't back out.

reybalt 07-30-2014 06:49 PM

can you guys tell me how long it will take to tune my car with trifecta? is it a quick process?

user 72239 07-30-2014 06:51 PM

haha no

Get ready for a long process

andrewcarr1993 07-30-2014 06:51 PM

I'm going to recommend HP tuners first of all or check to see if you have a local tuner, I have one that's good local but in the end I still switched to HP tuners because it's an hour away to my tuner. You can be done in a day if you have a good person to work with.

bmartz1991 07-30-2014 06:52 PM

Don't play around with Trifecta, get it HP tuned.

alerosaint 07-30-2014 06:58 PM

Stock for stock you got it...quickest and easiest power bump for you would be gms1. ..but hptune would be beast

Your outcome:
Stock=cars
Gms1=buses
Hptune=freight train
Hptune e85=back to the future

reybalt 07-30-2014 06:59 PM

I'm new to the tunes since this is my first sports car. By the way, what's the difference from both tunes?

reybalt 07-30-2014 07:05 PM

Does anyone know where I can buy a gms1?

andrewcarr1993 07-30-2014 07:07 PM

Dealership is the only place you can get their tune and keep your warranty (if you have one), but if you go with a custom tune I'd try to get the 3bar sensors anyways.

alerosaint 07-30-2014 07:12 PM

CED sell the kits too...and I think they ate PnP. Would need to go to dealer to flash the tune. Price varies per dealer. Hptune is worth it but you would need hptuners to email or drive to tuner, or a local shop with it that knows how to tune lnf

reybalt 07-30-2014 07:22 PM

After I tune my Cobalt SS will I ever need another tune?

alerosaint 07-30-2014 07:39 PM

Gms1 is tuned for the stock parts only.

If you are hptuned as you add mods it would be best/necessary to retune to accommodate that mod.
