So after texting him i come to find out that his car is Just a srt8....370Cui. So 425hp unmolested, no mods. It was almost a buzzkill but, he was talking smack still. So Im still down to put in some work. But he seem like a cool dude. He just one of those funny smack talking guys. Either way its going down saturday with time to be decided. I should know by tomorrow.

So as my luck would have it, as I tried to logged on the way to the airport the car would not go into boost. Im like WTF, so I pulled over and discovered the BCS solenoid have a wire broken. It probably broke when I change the solenoid out yesterday. The wire was kinda hard and brittle, no doubt from all the heat under the hood. I ordered the part just now with expedited shipping hopefully its here by Saturday...friday even better.

This car is an absolute dog with no boost I mean...I think even a 2.2 would destroy this thing.

 

Bummer, order (or see if the local parts store has it) DEI's cool tube to cover those wires so it doesn't happen again.

 

GM have the wire bundled already in some thermal protection. Its at the end of that protection directly behind the connector where the break occoured. Its like a 1 or 2 cm of wire that is exposed. I got to find something that is will cover the wire all the way to the connector which is plyable but rigid enough so it do not bend so easy.

 

So I couldnt take it...so i mustered a up a temp repair until the final parts come and quite surprisingly the car pulls harder....so couple of strands of the wire must have been broken only allowing me to achieve 23 steady vs 26. I noticed it was lower but I thought the car was doing its psi adjustment thing that it does and I had grown accustom to the power. So im back in the game

So I talked to him earlier about times and he told me he would let me know ...so I got home waited for the text ..nothing ....I text him then went on base for couple hours and came home and still nothing. So I texted him if he cold feet we can reschedule...in 3 seconds I got a call from him asking if I'm saying he is nervous. I said I'm just trying to figure out what's on him..so we chat a little, then he said . Hey man don't do me too bad out of the track. I laughed to myself and say,"you got the upper hand....I'm down on power and I have Traction issues. I'll be playing catch up. He ask whatd done, i told him bolt on and tune and i maybe have like 300 something. Didn't say whp. He is like ok it's all fun...I'm like yup.


That was funny....I would laugh my ass off If he plays me and he is modded to hell lol...
