I was once like you. A paper racer. I prefer to handle things at a track. Not on paper. In any event what do you drive just out of curiosity?

A little 1988 300zx. And I prefer to race too. The guy with the 500whp terminator acted like you until my little junker pulled him.

And a terminator weighs less than you by about 700lbs

For a start each of you should take your car to the track and run it on the 1/4 mile to see the results on who's was faster

Very cool. I assume it is a heavily modified turbo 300ZX. I have always admired those cars. I would just hate to do any motor work to one because there is no room to do anything.

Stock bottom end, a set of cams bigger turbo, intake, exhaust and canned tune. Nothing special at all.

Now here in a couple months it will be.

Have you looked at the front of your car recently, it's almost as aerodynamic as a Jeep. I would love to see this from a 40 roll, a cobalt making 400 WHP would walk your car any day.

So somehow a Z06 will experience a major power loss due to altitude, but a Cobalt won't? That is basically what I got out of that statement

Yes, it's a NA engine, anything with forced induction won't take as much of a hit, turbo more than SC.

All you have to do on forced induction is raise the boost. Same incoming air, but more pressure and power.

On naturally aspirated you can't add air without modding the car.

I assume a stock Cobalt with learn down will increase boost to meet 260HP either way.

Same reason they don't understand why a perfectly healthy athlete can get altitude sickness.

Physics is tough.

I think what I find most humorous is guys buy a muscle car and suddenly they are unbeatable. And then it royally pisses them off when you walk all over them. Then they start with the "well if I mod mine you won't stand a chance" thing. Hop to it I say!

What kind of power is it making? If m62 cars can run mid 12's I don't see why a TV couldn't do a low 12 with the proper supporting mods

I think that will put out plenty of power. Then the trick is getting it to the ground. I think it would be interesting
