Actually that is "Brittmore" Road here in Houston and believe me...you DO NOT want to mess with that Civic. It's owned by "Cheesefrog", he has his own photography business in Houston and is an extremely cool guy. I met him once, and he's very very knowledgeable. There is another video of him barely barely pulling on a 10 second viper on the street.

 

Yes but at the end of the day, he still drives a civic where as the other drives a viper.

 

I kinda like the sleeper effect myself. Then again, he banks so I'm sure he could buy a viper or three if he wanted to.

 

wow... I just think its DUMB that people go and buy Hondas that are econo boxes and then go drop B16 B18 H22a all that ****, and then turbo the brains out of them. Sure that Civic is quick in a straight line, but lets see it on the track, and by track I mean a race track that has curves and turns and all those goodies, and i can almost guarantee the viper will win with many lengths

 

...^...You could just as easily build one to run on a track, and do just as well as a viper...it all depends on how you build it.

but look at what you are working with. It is not just as easily. You would have to redesign the inner frame of the civic to even get it half way to where that viper is stock.

The Viper and other high end cars are a good starting point for a true track car. But if you want to go all out with a car meant for track you get a Lotus Elise or a Atom something along those lines.

Want to see a viper cry watch it quarter against the turbo'd atom.

dude its a hobby. Some people find enjoyment in working on cars and making them do things that alot of people dont think is possible....

Race him in your car then tell him he is dumb for modding a honda after he pulls about 10 car lengths on you in the 1/4 mile...

What you just said could apply to you...you are dumping (probably) money into a 14 second car...why? Seems like a bad starting point to me...go get a z06 or viper instead...

There are plenty of Civics around my town. One of them does 436whp on the street. He runs C16 and it's closer to 600whp. That's Viper beating power. It's also a dyno queen at any speed less than 80mph.

 

if i had more than 20 grand to spend i would probably own a faster car to start with

... ill take my $20,000 cobalt with no more than a couple grand in mods. and realistically, you are going to be much faster than soooo many cars on the street.

 

Amen! All hail the 800 horsepower Ford Festiva! I'll be honest, I like my car, but for me, it's what in MY price range can I get and make fast. Had I more money to spend on the car itself, I might be driving something else. Making a car go fast that is cheap by buying parts over time isn't figured into your original purchase price. Only spoiled rich kids get a cobalt SS/SC and 10g's to add on to it. Just my 2 cents.

let alone he met kate from katesplayground at some party and talked to her about world of warcraft lol. apparently hes a priest and shes a rogue and they actually had a conversation about dueling (he filmed it) lol.

EXACTALLY. i have insane respect for anybody who mods their car and KNOWS what they're doing. Just like 95% of the people here. we mod our cars and if we got as fast as a viper i think id give that person a nod.

as for "how would that civic due vs a viper around a track"... lol the viper IS a straight away car as well! its not this corner hugging beast like some of you guys are making it sound like it is.
