I can tell you it was 100 degrees out and 62% humidity when i dyno'd so i dont know if that will make any difference. But I will say It was dead even and we were going at it for around an hour or so. We stopped at a little store and talked to a buddy of his, who has a new 300C awd Hemi, who claims a 14.6 track time, and we both pulled on him, but neither one of us could pull the other

Glad u hung in there with the SS/SC. Tibby's are okay cars. Was never into the whole Korean tuning thing...but nevertheless its a good car to boot. I never had any problems demolishing tibbs but I guess there are those factory freaks and those beasts that go boost.

Well keep in mind guys, I don't think he has a GT Tiby, I think 6spd Tibbys are the Tiburon SE. I dont know numbers on the SE either, all i know is if he puts an alpine on there, he'd be running with STI's.

im gonna get into this i raced a V6 6 speed tiby w/ tuscani badges and such looked real clean he was from Massachutsus (spelling) i race him from a 40mph and a dig and both times i beat him by 3-5 cars (i only had intake, and exhuast at the time) we pull over and to chat... he had a completly gutted tiby just 2 front seats (lightweight ones) intake, exhuast, header, hi flow cat and some kind of tuning any ways he was pissed that he did not buy the redline because his choices were between the 2 and he paid 19 for his tib i paid 16 and some change before tax and tags on my rl brand new off show room floor

the tibbys are dogs. i "raced" a riced out one (yes, riced out. body kit with lightning bolt pain job with LAMBO doors), heard a BOV, but hey, it may have been one of them fake exhaust turbo spoolers. some hispanic girl wanted to run. i gave her a good second after the light turned green before going (didn't even launch). i blew by her like she was standing still. next light she said the only reason i got her was because she missed 2nd.

then that guy sucked at driving....

I have a 2.7v6 with 6spd. Its not an SE, even though the numbers are the same as a regular 03GT 6spd, its just that in the newer years they called them SE's and started charging more money for them

I think the Tiburon is a real sick car. If I had one, I'd put bolt on's, and then work the internals to prepare for boost, because that engine is easily blown.

Has anyone seen the video of the S/C Tibby handing the SRT-4 its ass? Its the best sounding supercharged car I've EVER heard lol.

lets put the rumor to rest about the engine being easily blown. What information do you have to work off of, or who told you what to make you think that?

I checked out that dyno shop. the guy that dyno'd me did it in 4th gear instead of 3rd, and called him asking him why he thought I was so low, he said his dyno reads about 15hp off.....which isnt alot, but the SS/SC i was racing dyno'd there as well, and dyno'd at 212whp

i have driven his car, in stock form with CAI, but not since he pulleyd it. stock vs mine, even he said after driving my car, that mine was faster, and I proved it at the track, running 14.2@101

Ok. im not denying that. but what i am denying is that both facts are true

If you beat the ss/sc and everything was ok on both cars and neither of you screwed up, you do NOT have 168hp at your wheels. something is wrong with that dyno result.

OR if you truely do have 168hp at the wheels, i think you would agree with me that it just isnt a possibility to beat something that is producing that much more HP if driver/conditions/car were all running properly.

not sayin your lying....just saying that something in the equation is not adding up.
and you cant blame people for noticing it and calling BS just looking at the pure facts.

to tell you the truth, im very dissapointed with the dyno. and I think with a proper tune, I should be at around 190-195whp, which with the way our 6spds are geard over your 5spds(i dont know why GM didnt give you a 6) it should pretty much be a drivers race....i did have to modify the hell out of mine to compete

it would be far more likely that if the sc dynoed 210-215 you would at least break over the 200 mark. if not more

Because I've heard this rumor from many people, including Tibby owners. Not only that, they can only safely boost 7 pounds on stock internals or some ****. I'm not what you wuld call a Tiburon guru so yo'll have to excuse me. Korean cars aren't my cup of tea.
