Cobalt SS vs 2001 Mustang GT

Couldn't contain ourselves on the way to the track the other day. Got in one 40 roll vs a 2001 GT with heads, cams, headers, exhaust, stage 3 clutch, and mid coil packs. Wish we could have gone from a dig.

The scooter at the end is a joke among friends. Our buddy with a 12 second diesel decided he'd rather run his scooter. Ran a 23.x at 46.7! lmao

Ordering a new clutch whenever I get around to it. Want to go to Cecil in April, so hopefully it'll be in by then.

Cecil? Whats that. and what clutch are you going with? And that V you race is soo bad man. I would love to have one of those in the future. A guy that works at ZZP owns one that is supercharged with like 550whp.

Cecil is a really nice track. Better then the farm track that I ran a 13.1 at. Thinking just a GMPP for now. It's cheap and I've spent a lot on the car lately.

I'll have another video up soon of the CTS-V. I took him from a dig and we did a 40 and he got me. I'm positive his ass hit nitrous on the 40, but he said the bottle was empty.

Nah, he's on the stock 3.27 gears. Shifting at redline still moves him out of his powerband. lol

ahh makes sense. They need 4.10s-4.30s stock, he would probably benefit from 4.56's with the peakier powerband.

I had a 2v. Anything over 4.10's is annoying with the TR-3650. And I think 01's had the T-5 with a shorter final drive. Even worse.

Some of us track our cars and aren't afraid to spend $$$.

Dead hooking from 1st on the street is always fun too.

And this is why I got rid of mine. Not much you can do to 2Vs to make them fast unless you forge the motor and run a decent amount of boost. Transmissions blow in those cars as well but that's a Ford for you.

This was my previous car. Full boltons, tune and 4.10 gears. Anything over 60mph this thing lost power drastically. It only put down lik 274 hp and 310 tq. At 3400ish lbs... wrong answer

I have a pretty mild setup in mine. Stock unported heads, baby turbo cams, stock bore/stroke (forged of course), intake/fuel setup and a single turbo kit. Still with a TR3650 and have clicked off multiple 1.5x 60fts, one 1.48 60, and trapped 144.
