So i didnt race anyone but this story def belongs in the war stories section:
After leaving a popular saturday night meet last night, a WRX that was behind me decided that I was going too slow. He passed me on the right and was slamming through gears. The road had a tight S bend. He made it through the first bend, and then was outta sight. After i made it to the end of the S bend, I saw a bumper in the middle of the road, and the WRX at a 45 degree angle on the side of the road, wheels still spinning wrapped around a telephone pole. I whipped the balt around jumped out, and went to check the driver. He was covered in blood, but I checked his pulse and he was still breathing. By then a crowd had gathered, but half the people freaked out and bolted becuase of "the cops." The WRX looked like it was dropped out of an airplane, the only word to describe it was horrific. It def freaked me out to check a guys pulse in that condition, actually it scarred the **** outta me. Thank god I have first aid training since I am an Eagle Scout. After the cops showed on scene and I talked to them about how there was no other car involved and it was driver error I went home and just freaked. Im not one to ever street race but last night def reaffirmed that mentality. Guys please just take it to the track.....

GOOD, NOW MAYBE HE WILL RESPECT THE ROAD, OTHERS, AND HIS OWN VEHICLE .....ONCE HE GETS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL.
DUDE I AM CALLING BULLSHIT ON THIS STORY, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THOSE SUPER DUPER AWESOME AWD CARS TO LOSE CONTROL. RALLLLLLLLLLY RACING BRAHHHHH.

still ur right gotta respect the road, hes lucky to be a live and to not have killed anyone
In my last car (a RSX-S) I did the same. I didn't pass a car or anything but went around this S bend. The last part of the S tightened up. My ass end slid out. I'd say 1/4 of the car was in the other lane. I got it corrected and nothing happened. But damn... I could have been dead. I was doing 70ish in a corner marked 30.
That was a few years ago...

Just goes to show..
1) ALWAYS respect the road, because it doesn't give a flying **** about you.
2) Just because you drive an AWD super-car doesn't mean you can take S-curves at 80+ MPH.
Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson.

couldnt have said it better myself
o ya its one of the worst blind turns on the island, and the posted limit around the curve is 25 MPH, the guy really was lucky to be alive
saw the car shortly after the accident and was surprised the kid was alive. I couldnt even tell there was a passenger in the car. update on their health status is that the passenger is out of the hospital but banged up bad and driver was in a medically induced coma. he is awake now but still very badly hurt.
