First kill? Besides an old Malibu that wanted to race.
 

I have an LSJ, stock except for ZZP 3" CAI and a K&N filter. An older style WRX stopped next to me today. I've never really "raced" anyone before. Once we were at about 20mph I heard his turbo spool up. I was already in 2nd so I took off. I started pulling ahead and he was catching up when I let off at about 75. He flew by. I don't know what would have happened if we kept going.

I'll say it worked out well for me because we started at that speed where the Cobalt is alright and his AWD didn't work to his advantage. From a dig he should have been ahead of me.

I would call that your first kill, he knew what he was doing. I will say this though, as a common courtesy when street racing a 3 honk is always good sportsmanship, even if the guy/girl you are racing leaves early. It will aslo give you a rough idea on how you stack up to that particular vehicle.

I'd count it as a first kill. It doesn't have to be clean.....

First times rarely are clean, in so many situations...
