funny kill....my kid did it

so i got the kid out on a short cruise to get some grub and build his skills. we catch a red on a back highway and this 2k? pt loser comes up on us and the d-bag driver and his bud give my son the grin like the balts cute but slower then his 2.4l. light changes and my boy easys on it and we're dead even through first til she starts pulling hard at 4k and by the end of 1st we pulled a quarter on em. she was pulling hard through 2nd we had a car and a half going into 3rd. my boy get out of it by 90. we start slowing and this ******* asshat does the good ol' ricer fly-by and even hit the hazards as he tried weakly to cut us off. funny ****. now the boy stands 1-1, he lost his first race to some cool dude in a c5 vette. and no the vette wasn't trying til he thought my kid was getting on it.

Uhh am I the only one that thinks its shitty to let your 15 year old son street race?

Nothing like letting you son think its ok to street race. Seems like a good way to get your son killed or have him kill someone else.

no you are not. I believe he basically signed his kids death warranty by making it seem ok for him to street race. Don't get me wrong, i've done it too when I was young and dumb, BUT I learned a valuable lesson from it. and NEVER did my father ever condone street racing as being anywhere near an exceptable form of "who's got the bigger dick" competition.

Buddy, your gonna feel aweful when your kid hits a tree at 60mph like my sister did... You may think he is the best driver in the world, but he's a kid and alot kids are killed in stupid accidents.

a wrx full of 15-17 year olds slammed into a tree because they were "racing" another car that was driving down the wrong side of the road.
They all died.

If you think street racing is that bad when done with proper precautions, you're a moron. Street racing can be just as safe as racing on a drag strip.

LOL at that comment. It is NEVER safe to street race, especially compared to a dragway. Are you kidding me?!?!? Even the dragway isnt considered a safe event. You never know what might happen. lol. hold on, I gotta find this old thread I put up not too long ago.

proper precautions can never calculate the unforseen.

lol there ya go. proper precautions taken, just young and dumb. check the url in there, I dunno i fit still works.

It was a closed off road set up, and a kid in a new cobalt though he had something to prove so he raced two trucks, lol. The two trucks slammed on their brakes and he decided to fly by them. The reason they slowed down was the road reach its end. it ends into a small lake. The cobalt hit a lump of dirt and skyrocketed a good 50 to 100 feet and then landed in the lake nose first. Kid wasnt hurt, but I can tell you that car was totalled. lol.

The part where he landed was only 2-3 feet deep.

A dragstrip is only like $15 dollars around here, thats petty cash, plus you get your 60' times and your reaction times, and E/T times. You can't beat that. A real race done like that shows who won and there's no room for bullshit like "oh, You got the jump on me cause I didnt pay attention, but I would have beat u otherwise" <-- a reaction time could prove/ or disprove that.

Then your evidence is printed out on a slip so you now have your bragging rights.
How much are the tracks around you guys?

on top of that, no cops.

and no one on this site brought a sports car or modded their dd's to race anywhere but at the track. we all drive like grandma puckett and we never ever condone racing any kind of illegal acts. people might know we get a hard on when our pride is tested. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....................don't tell.

yeah, human error. Its a factor that eveyone has that drives. Unless.....your not human? Alien!

I dunno. I dont think street racing could ever be the safer than a track. There's way too many stories of street racing gone seriously bad out there. There was a street race not too long ago over by me that was sooooo horrible it made the news. Two cars were smokin there tires for fun with a group of bistandards lining the streets, most were in the street. No cars around, its 1am. A guy driving down the road sees a huge smoke cloud in the road, and doesnt think anything of it (my guess is he was drunk off his ass for doing this next part). He drives through the cloud at the speed limit!!! and plows through all the people like bowling pins. mutilation at its finest. the two cars sped off to avoid prosecution. In the group of people killed were two little kids who obvious irresponsible parents decided to keep them out of bed to go see this. They thought they took proper precautions too.

you can have a spirited drive with someone, weaving in and out of traffic, or just to see who has the better acceleration.. but you cant just take up a strip of road or run on any road for that matter late at night. thats just retarded. imagine hitting a deer at 90mph, lol. you will die.

Again, that story lacks proper precautions. The only stories you hear are the bad ones. A planned race around here that is thought out, has never had a problem. The only horror stories around here are the random red light encounters gone wrong or bad time of day picked for racing. When's last time you heard of a planned street race going wrong......

well, too be honest, you should even promote it with him. A 16 year old belongs behind only one kinda car... a slow hand me down thats on its last leg. whatever he drives, it will be totalled in less than a year guaranteed. hell, I wrecked my first car in 3 months, lol. and I didnt do anything wrong!!! old ******* people dont know how to drive, I was too inexperienced to avoid it. My sister just turned 21 and is on her 3rd car. Shes a terrible driver, always has been. She doesnt think she is, but her record states otherwise.

Anyways, your gonna eat those words when your waiting in the ER like everyone else does.

well, lets just put it this way. If Street racing was safe in any case or enviroment, then it wouldnt be illegal. And anyone could do it with no police bothering to break it up.

My cousins makes a profit selling this car to him. He also knows that he's going to see the car come back smashed to smithereens and make another profit, lol. Always happens in a 1-3 month time slot. He loves IT. Used to hate being the kid with the slow car in high school but since he worked at that dealership, he felt rewarded for it. The next thing that happens is the guy stops paying for the car and it comes back to the dealer anyways to get resold and make more profit.

x2 for the idiot comment.

Nah because most of the time you need to break speed limits. But on good roads like a thruway, there is no reason why you couldn't go 90 mph. Most ******* business guys do that speed just trying to get place to place.

Okay, so theoretically, if someone were to race from a line up to the speed limit, without breaking traction, then no police would interfere?

You would still get unsafe start if racing from a dig.
