well my kids gonna race either way. i know cause neither i nor the wife owns a shitty slow car. that being said this little ******, my 16yo, is gonna be one damned good driver. save your **** for a guy who really cares
and no one on this site brought a sports car or modded their dd's to race anywhere but at the track. we all drive like grandma puckett and we never ever condone racing any kind of illegal acts. people might know we get a hard on when our pride is tested. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....................don't tell.

If he is content with the knowledge that one or more of his children will prolly end up doing hard time because of HIS lack of disicpline, then allow him to. Nothing we can say or do will make him change from his imature ways. Besides you cant deal with people like the OP, because they are convinced that they are always right, and that nothing bad could ever happen to them, or nothing bad is their fault. I say we just let this thread die.

I got my cobalt as my first car at 16, and am now turning 18, and my dad was the first person i ever raced and he asks me all the time who and where i race. All you need to do is watch out for the other drivers on the road and not get to hot headed and you'll be fine, just because you street race doesn't mean you're going to automatically die. When it's your time to go, it's your time to go. At least that's what i believe in.

Oh I forgot, you guys are up there with the big boys like the Chevelle SS and Nova SS.Last time I checked both of those cars had torque and hp.I am not trying to be a dick about the cobalt,I enjoy any of the cobalts that they made.Anyone on this site who think their cobalt ss/na or ss/sc or tc think they're hot ****,need to rethink that.

A 70 Chevelle SS was around 3300 lbs!
Now again some of the smaller 327 muscle cars in the larger body weren't as fast as they seem, but anything with a hi po engine and traction today would lay waste to a TC/SC/SRT4 ect...

Don't get cocky, today they have access to good tires. Them racing on those bias ply tires was equal to us running on spares. Try landing 500+ftlbs on a tire like that. Slap a set of slick on them though and they magically went from a 13.5 to a 12.2. Not to mention most the cars back then were a few hundred pounds or more lighter then a comparable muscle car today....

f*ck all these babies in here, I've raced my son numerous times, and in some very very powerful cars such as his 550hp srt vs. my GTO... he has maybe beatin me 3 times out of a good 50 or so races, most on the street, a few at the strip...
