Hack vs '05 Auto GTO

Me vs my buddy with an '05 Auto GTO. I have bald tires and he's got brand new ones.

The video speaks for itself. (I have the HIDs)

You were racing with tires that looked like that? I don't think you're meant for this world much longer with decisions like that...

lol rilly racing on those tires is not bad... when u are full throttle it is actuily easier on ur tires ... ur car will lift up giving ur tires less stress... the only place where technicaly it would pop is when he stops or burns out or its sitting( or a nice pot whole would do it )... more load when sitting then when moving.

so ur both 05( ls2 is eather an auto) my friends 05 gto (automatic)is faster than my others 06 gto( standard) he was told that the auto shifts faster but it has a lower top end.

Mines a 6 spd if you couldn't hear it lol. The only thing the auto has going for it is easy fast launches. Top end its all taillights for the 6 spd.

And **** roll racing. Power means nothing if you can't land it.

bump

Haha, this is my first post in a couple months. I only race a few times a month, and it's all very well organized so we usually get footage of it.

agreed. I was going to correct him on it, but i think ill let him believe what he wants, so long as the others reading this thread know not to listen to him

and to hack:
6sp > 4sp almost every time. I REALLY wish they made the GTOs with a 6sp auto...cause i want one, and i still dont really want a manual in los angeles

Yup. Racing on a closed split-lane highway dead straight is horribly dangerous.

Not what I saw in the video...you went through an intersection -- that's not closed...but I'm not knocking you for the run...those treads are down to the belts...that is NUTS!

The only thing funny in this thread is how dumb the OP is for racing on tires that looked like that.
