and super is correct...ATI procharger is a better set up than a vortec, it flows MUCH better, although I forgot the numbers off my head. The only thing nice about a vortec is they are self lubricating ( no tapping for an oil line) and the have a quiet operating system for "stealth" applications, not sure if ATI offers a "quiet" supercharger. I would personally take the ATI.

Why do the top fuels run blowers if the turbos are more efficient? Turbos put warmer air back into the motor, even after going through an intercooler since the draw exhaust gas..where a supercharger draws air from external sources? Or am I missing something? Not saying one is better than the other..but like you said.."opinion"
Just asking.

a turbo does not leech power at all. a turbo also does not force compressed exhaust gasses into the engine that would be retarded and cause major problems. A turbo has a compressor that is spun by exhaust pressure, but it takes ambient air and compresses it, not exhaust. top fuel drag cars use blowers because they have ENORMOUS v8's. a turbo, if properly sized, would have too much piping, and they would need extremely efficient cooling...plus, turboes spool differently than a blower. if top fuel dragsters ran say a half mile, they probably would use turbos, but since they run the 1/4 so quickly, the blower builds boost at a more desirable area in the rpm's and can be used better for their needs. technically a turbo is more efficient...that is just fact. it uses energy that would be wasted other wise and a blower needs to rob energy from the motor to compress the air. a properly sized turbo on an ls1 (i think he said he has an ls1 with a procharger?) could be make amazing power numbers with very little lag. centrifugal blowers make linear power...the build boost directly related to the rpm' sof the engine. a turbo, if properly sized can reach peak boost around 2500 rpm's while still making more peak power than a blower. its really all opinion and what your needs are, but a turbo is TECHNICALLY more efficient.

he said, "prochargers are alot better than vortechs"
i was just saying that is his opinion and not necessarily fact. hey i could say the srt-4 is "better" than your car...but we all know its a matter of opinion....not trying to start an argument, just trying to keep it fair.
I here you CD...a lot of it depends on your set up and what you run...there is a reason that not everybody runs a turbo and a reason that not everyone runs a supercharger...they all have there +'s and -'s.
But I would ingore my commetns for a while...I obviously forgot the difference between a procharger and a vortech
hahahahahahaha I'm such a dumb ass hahaha
