old people wtf?
I don't get why there are so many pissed of old people driving around... lol
i was pulling out onto the highway into traffic, i pull into the medium and wait for a few cars and then there is a big gap. i pull out into the lane and i can see one of those new MX5 lift up in the front and the douche bag floors it so naturally i mashed in through 2nd into 3rd and let off around 65. he still hadn't caught me but eventually he does and tailgates me. about a mile down the road there is construction blocking slow lane. he almost rear ends me, i can see him red faced and having a conniption fit. apparently in his rage he doesn't notice the construction zone and whips around and almost takes out a bunch of cones. its crazy how many old people i see road ragin around, and just acting like clowns in general. they act like the world revolves around them |
|
guess its not a race win.
no random people ever want to race i guess most people don't see anything other than a cobalt eco car. i did race a cummins truck who challenged me for some reason must have been stock i pulled 3 or 4 cars on him before his turbo even spooled |
Don't race slow cars. It's not worth it.
|
he probably had a full depends and was about to fill his socks too
|
Lmao

Trust me it's not just old people as I'm 50. I have more issues with the 20 something's driving and always looking at their phones while tailgating me. I am known to just pull over verses having headlight glare up my ass. People follow way to close now.
|
That's why the worst thing to ever happen to driving is old people getting iPhones. Worst of both worlds.

There was a top gear where one of them put a paint sprayer on the back of the car. That could work.

I've noticed this, especially after being rear-ended by a texting driver. Most of the time I have somebody so close I can't even see their headlights anymore. Need to come up with an anti-tailgating mechanism of some sort (and make millions).

i see less "young people" on cell phones doing dumb shit than i do 40+ angry women raging.
drive slow then speed up when you try and pass and make sure you get blocked by traffic for miles. |
women are the ones i see raging the most. just look at them while they're driving. that bitchy face

Eh, just like the rock trucks, just put a sign on the back. "Stay back 50 ft. Not responsible for paint damage."
|
People are ****s, to put it simply.
On tailgating I slow to to speed limit and put on my 4ways until the driver backs off or passes, I don't brake check as it is a dangerous action and can fuel road rage. Tailgating other drivers is stupid, you are putting yourself and the people of the car ahead of you at risk for what? Just pass and carry on. |

Now if I see a terrible driver I try and make eye contact while giving them a sarcastic thumbs up. I doubt they even understand why. Dummies are dummies. No amount of trying will change that. I live in a neighborhood that has a ton of new Canadian residents. It's a fucking shit show of nervous confused drivers. Especially with the snow. |
One of the big problems is that a lot of the people who tailgate drive a gutless 4 cyl car that has no acceleration.
I used to have a jeep Cherokee that had a rear wiper and disconnected the wiper fluid hose. When people would get close I would just hit the wiper fluid button and they would back off thinking my car was leaking something. Only worked when it wasn't raining. It's sad that most of the time I'm driving 7-10 over the speed limit, and when I pull over and let them by, they won't even drive as fast as I was when they are in front of me. |

I don't think I'm being a cop, simply reacting to someone trying to endanger my life by being impatient. If I react with a brake check what am I?
The behavior of others is limited by people accepting that behavior and normalization of it, you don't have to accept it you choose to. You say you make eye contact and give them a sarcastic thumbs up so you are trying in your own way. The 905/416 has its own way of driving and has nervous and new Canadians too. There was a woman pulled over for driving 50-60 Kms on the 401 last week lol. |

Lol if you want to see nervous, confused, terrible drivers then come to Atlanta Georgia when we have snow flurries. People lose their freakin minds and go 5mph so they don’t slip on the non-existent ice.
Our problem is people new to driving that actually enforces real rules here regardless of age/gender. You get some stupid people in Hamilton and south but coming through Oakville and Toronto, it's an absolute shit show. Of course it doesn't help you cram 2+ million people in a city either (that has more inner cities than a fictional town). |

It's not just a southern thing.
Here in Winterpeg (Winnipeg, MB) we've have super mild weather lately and it freezes at night so the roads get slick. It amazing how bad people are at driving even though most have lived here their whole lives. That and everyone parks at the start of merge lanes waiting till a huge gap opens up. |
