Was just hanging out at my buddies house and left to head home.. Waiting at a stop sign to turn right and a mustang revs at me.. So I hurry and turn and follow him.. I follow him all the way to a gas station because he needed gas probably.... lol... He turned in the gas station at the last second and I went up the road and turned around.. came back to the gas station and pulled right next to him and asked him what was done to it.. The guy driving was pumping gas with his back turned to me, and didn't answer me. His little brother in the passenger seat tells me "enough". I asked what's enough? He said, "enough, what do you think?".. I heard it so I just said, "I don't know, exhaust?".. and he just laughs and doesn't say anything.. I pulled to the exit at the gas station and just waited.. he went to the other exit and left, and i followed again.. He ends up going to the highway so I follow.. Once the cars clear, I gun it to get next to him.. He was probably 5-6 cars in front me.. I'm 3rd gear about 60 mph and I'm like 3/4 throttle just trying to get next to him.. I get to about 3-4 cars behind him, still trying to catch him and he just guns it.. soooooo I gun it.. I'm pulling on him pretty bad and at about 100 mph, I catch him, and just keeeeeeeeeeep pulling all the way until about 120 mph when I have about 5-6 cars on him and let off.. and that's about it..

Mustang GT rev'd at me, followed him through town, he lead me to the highway, I end up pulling about 5-6 cars on him.

Good kill, but 5-6 cars from 100-120? Don't think so. Not doubting the 5-6 cars because 2v's are jokes without boost, but that's a lot to pull in a span of just 20mph.

And true.. I'm gonna have to say by the time I looked back when I was at 120, he prolly had let off.. So he let off one I passed him at like 100-105 and when I looked again at 120ish, he let off a second or two ago..

and I was actually hoping you'd see this b/c I have a question for yaa.. assuming you know a lot a/b balts b/c you're on here and mustangs..

buuuuuut.. my buddy has an 02 GT.. magnaflow x pipe, intake, and "programmer" or something like that.. Not sure of brand or anything but i've seen it, not like he's lying about it.. but he said it was supposed to give him like 20hp and like 33tq.. How do you think i'd do against him?

I don't want to just go up to him and be like "race me?" b/c I don't wanna be the guy that's always talking **** about racing. I'm just curious.

same thing happend to me the other day except with a e92 m3. mustangs are jokes unless theyre the newer ones or f/i. even full bolt ons with 4.10 gearing and cammed they are still turds in n/a form.

 

You're still going to walk it. It takes a mean set up to make a N/A 2v fast.

Exactly...Ford 2V's need boost or radical H/C packages to be fast.

 

and then the bottom ends suffer! there weak spot. i have raced a quite a few and seen two let go a couple rods thru the block. one at 150ish, and supercharged and still 2 cars behind my stock gto. and i had to push him back to town!

 

Yeah. The 2v mustangs sound nice, but they're dogs without boost. I love messing with them cuz they think their cars are super fast. I always want to race them for money. Especially when they look like assbags and say "enough"

Doesn't sound like this guy had nearly "enough" done. haha
