Its not impossible if he is parked. IF you going over 70mph and your car is stealth --debadged all he could call on the radio is [(for example) a Black car or maybe take a guess].. you take off, get off at the next exit find somewhere to park get out of your car go inside. I have done it twice in my friends Jetta back in the day.. (Jetta didnt have stealth, not debadged)

Edit: a guy i work with lost his for only 6 months for Street Racing.. dont remember his speed when pulled over though.

It's not the speeding that makes him the idiot "he said he was." It was the "I think I will out run the cop before he turns around" idea." That is where his "stinkin thinkin" got him into worse trouble.

I have ran more times than i have stopped...

only got caught once, and that time it was like 10:30 in the morning.

Just learn to drive and better luck next time...

Yes it's possible to lose your license for a year. When you get a notice that you have reached your maximum points, you go to a hearing and it's there that they decide on what the suspension will be. At least thats how it was here in Denver.

Exactly. Speeding is dumb but a common offense. Running from the cops is just plain stupid.

That's pretty much how it works here... too bad... but, as I've said before... if you're gonna play on the streets... be prepared to accept the consequences.

Looks like the Charlotte crew is gonna be down by 2.

1) stg2Cobalt (ticket for Competition, pending court)
2) RYCobaltSS...

best of luck to both of these guys.

Ouch, that blows. I had a suspended lisc. for a year for speeding in my previous car. Got nailed doing 105 in a 55 workzone. I was lucky though, kept driving priv. so I didn't lose my job....any way, learn your lesson now. It might suck for a few months or so, and be epensive, but it could have been worse.

wow...lots of replys....sorry i didnt reply back sooner but as i figured most of you agreed and i am an idiot for running...didnt get arrested for running tho..just speeding and reckless driving. someone asked if i got arrested as soon as i got pulled or not...nope...took my liscense and registration like a normal pull, but didnt come back with the "sign here" clipboard. was in county for 6 hrs or so and starving to death cuz i was actually on my way to get dinner when i got pulled (930p) and released around 415a approx 15min befor breakfast was supposed to be served at the jail...what a bummer....but most deff. i have learned my lesson and have actually been using my cruise control everywhere and doing the posted speedlimit...ive actually lost my liscese b4 in FL for 30 days and got a hardship liscense aka priv. lisc. for work and school, about 1 week after i lost it cuz i took a drivers class....need to take another one...only got two left tho..i here you get 3 in a life time...already took two but one was court appointed and it doenst count as one of the three so that leaves two...prolly gonna use them both here really soon. looking for a lawyer to help out so far ive been quoted 550 plus court cost's so not too bad but considering i dont have the money just chillin in my back poket im kind of a sittin duck right now. im shittin a brick about insurance tho...right now im at 245 a month...so im guessing an extra 100-120 making it somewhere around 345-365....but im planning on begging the judge for anything to let me keep it...ill commit to 1000hrs community service, driving schools, educational services (going to local schools and communitys to preach about speeding) anything....just let me keep my liscense.

wow you are paying $245/month now? i have 1 ticket for 75 in a 60 (was going 90 but the nice police man dropped it down cause i was late for a school exam) and im on a family plan at state farm and i only pay $125/month! however, it was $250 before i turned 25 so i guess that makes sence if you are under 25. i got my 06 ss/sc a month before i turned 25 so it worked out nicely.

I dont know how your laws there are but here where i live, if your caught running from the cops its an automatic 180 days in the slammer. Just started july 1st if i remember right. My brother is going to be indiana state police and has a bunch of buddies in there already so they keep him updated then he passes this good stuff along to me.

agreed with the guy that said just pull over, shut the car off, and be as nice as possible without being super fake... i was going 77 in a 55 a few weeks ago, which would have fucked me here in new jersey... i pulled right over, was nice, didn't act like i didn't know what i was doing wrong, and apologized... ended up with a seatbelt ticket for 47... much better than 600 in fines, suspended license, and driving classes...

well.. you just didnt get lucky ..

about 2 years ago after i finished rebuilding my stang .. me and a bud went out for a ride to see how she was running (after i put on my digital 7 so we were checking timing and what not little bullshit) hopped on the highway about 2:30am and went ***** to the wall.. ended up getting clocked at 165 in a 65... i nor my bud knew cops were after us.. officer said it took him 5 miles to catch up to us (by that time im normal crusing at 70 mph)..

he came up to the window and looked at me and said "what in the ******* **** are you doing going 165"
i told him i just got done building my car and was testing it out and what not.. i figured early morning would be best time because roads would be dead and what not.. THANKFULLY the guy was a mustang freak and let me go with just a warning.. he ended up wanting to race me on the way home to for ***** and giggles just to see how the car was.. i was scared shitless for a minute but talk about luckky stars.. i think i used them all that night..

side note.. looking like you just got out of a oil pit and grease tank from your car made me look like like a "good ol' boy" to the cop and since i live in east bumble **** it helped out.

I have had good luck in the past just by being honest and polite (well since I grew up anyways, lol. We won't talk about how I handled things at 16, lol)

It has gotten me out of the ticket almost every time, and the two tickets that I did actually get, the cops we're cool and only wrote me up for 5 over.

The last one was hilarious, me and my girl were heading to Grand Rapids for some family thing, and I got caught doin 87 in a 70.

The cop (woman) came to my window, asked me how fast I was going,,, I said about 90?
She said not quite I got you at 87, but thanks for being honest, lol

She asked where we were going, and I told her family function,,, she ran my info and came back and said be safe, and slow it down please. Then I started breathing again, lol.
