SS/TC Vs 2004 Mustang GT (intake only)

so a friend of mine has been talking **** about my car since I bought it almost 3 months ago, wonders why I stuck with the cobalt after my first one (2008 Sport).

Said his stang would "destroy my little econobox"

It's a 2004 GT, only mod was intake.
His first standard car, but he is a pretty decent driver.

so we took it out to the highway last night, no traffic and about 15 KM of straight road.

1st Roll was from 40..

I was in second and brake boosting, honked it off and got and instant jump on him and kept pulling, he caught up to within a car.. shut it down at 120km/h

2nd Roll, 60 in 3rd..

Again brake boosting, honked it off, he got a bit of a jump 1/4 of a car and than I pulled up on him and ended it with 1/2 a car on him. shut it down @ 120km/h

3rd Race, Dig...
Used LC, honked it off but spun a bit he got a big jump on me, I NLS'd to 2nd and than to 3rd.. ended the race at 120 kmh only a 1/2 of a car behind him.

So it was a fun night, my buddy has since shut his mouth about it all

I work at the yacht club out here so that's probably where you saw my car.

Right now I've got an intake, GM sage 2 with a 2.9" pulley, and a heat exchanger. I might be putting on a header/downpipe pretty soon as well.

yea so did i and i got him by half car when i was 100% stock and the dude had cat-back and intake. hence why the tc should of won instead of losing from a dig by half car. thats bad. ss/sc stock vs. ss/tc stock we all know the tc will come out on top. get what im saying?

no. because he lost cause he used the launch control and fucked it up. the factory launch control cannot be used efficiently on these cars. a 5200rpm launch is what 900hp drag cars with a 4link backhalf and a 33x16x14 rear tire use. not a cobalt.
