Tuned Cobalt SS/TC vs LS1 Bolt on Camaro
Camaro Z28 with bolt ons (including headers) trapped 112.
Cobalt has 3in catless downpipe, injen hotside piping, dynotune on 20PSI , drop in filter, muffler delete First run was from 40 Second was from 45. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgx5sMu-bcI |
Looks like even with giving you the hit he was pullin pretty good.
Nice vid. |

Cobalt ran well. The z28 in vid is also a stripper model with T-tops though.
|

Stripper, you mean manual windows and everything else. I was thinking the strippers were hardtop but i didnt really know. I have a 93 6 speed and camaros are just wicked anyway. Nice vid.

Good runs op, that Camaro was so loud you couldn't even hear your car at all.

My Cobalt is probably a little lighter then most, Considering it has no sunroof from the factory and other misc weight taken off

Right, because every TC tuned traps 116 and walks the hell out of anything less then a heads/cammed LS car or pullied Cobra. Just shows time and time again that TC's may hold well under a 100 but they don't have the lungs to keep going strong past a 100.
Good runs op, that Camaro was so loud you couldn't even hear your car at all. My buddy has a stripper 1LE Camaro. No power anything, no t-tops, LS1, M6 and a CD player. It is a light car, I think it weighs under 3400 but don't quote me on that. Tyler Ya over 100 the Camaro started pulling. I was impressed though, The first run he had like a 1/2 car maybe a little more, the second run he had about a full car by 120 it was closer then I expected. The Camaro weighs in the 3200's without a driver and the driver isn't over 150 either. |
They were good clean runs. camaro driver is also a good driver.

i dont know a whole lot about the lnf engine, but with his mods should it be able to hold more than 20 psi, like 25-26 i've seen out of some lnf's...
|
For not having too much done to the cobalt you stood your ground man...nice race

what are the dyno numbers on the TC at 20psi?
|
he was shooting for 22 on the dyno but it would only hold 19-20. The camaro trapped 112 at the track. I thought the cobalt ran well.
|
LS1 owners do not run 50 shots. They run 150 shots :)
|
The cobalt dynoed 295/350. He posted a dyno sheet on this site I believe. The camaro owner DEF. was NOT spraying.
|
Just watched the video again. DEF just a LS1 with some long tubes, no cats and a catback. Probably tuned as well. He pulled you hard in 3rd which is the LS1's best gear
|
LOL you asked for it. Anyone who [posts anything abotu a cobalt beating an LS1 gets flamed or excuses thrown at them. LOL And they call us fanboi's
|
ummmm the ls1 sounded like he stole my panties.....lol
