Michelin Pilot Super Sport, anyone?
Before I begin, this thread is intended to get some answers to questions I have on the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from those that actually have them. Not a thread suggesting X brand tires over these, or comments from those that do no own them.
Like I mentioned, I am interested in the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and am considering getting a set soon. The tires I have now are more of a performance oriented tire, and I don't really need something as agressive since I don't track. The things I didn't like about my current tires were the mileage I got out of them and the fact that every single stone or piece of sand sticks to them and slings them all over the car. With the Pilot Super Sport tires, are they super sticky to the point where stuff off the road will stick to them?
I know that Michelin warrantys the tread up to 30K miles, but are you all seeing really good treadwear that reaching 30K miles should be no problem?

I am debating the Firestone firehawk indy 500s on my Charger. I want a little sticker tire. The Firehawk GT's that came stock on it are good for driving, at 12k miles they have no signs of wear. They just are super sticky. I am also debating on jumping up to a 275/40/20s vs the stock 245/45/20s

They're good tires, but they are a little track oriented. They're not super sticky like a 200TW RE-71, RT660, etc, so you shouldn't have any issue with picking up every single thing on the road. That said, even a 300TW will do that if they're hot enough, so where and how you're driving matters.
Personally, I'm not huge on the Michelins. They're a Tier 1 tire brand that you pay a lot more money for, but there are plenty of other Tier 2 and Tier 3 companies making equal or better tires for a lot less.
You can, especially if you're driving more tame and/or are doing more highway miles. I got almost exactly 30k out of a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric3's, and that was with a track day, a handful of autocross events, and a whole lot of tearing ass around town with ~340 ft-lbs of torque.
The Indy 500's are a good tire; I don't think you'd be disappointed. One of the guys that used to run the HPDE group that I run with had them on his C6 Z06 and really liked them. A friend of mine (and former forum member) runs them on his tuned 2016 Camaro SS and he seems to enjoy them so far. Plus, they don't really break the bank.
And I assume that you mean the GT's AREN'T super sticky. Because they're like a 460TW.

I was searching tires few months ago. Michelin PSS is good tire for dry and terrible at wet. It is old type. Now you got Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Which is also quite good at wet. Depends of tests one is better or another. These are top UHP at our size: Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, Goodyear F1 Supersport, Continental Sport Contact 6. Price are simillar (at my place).
I choose GY because before I got F1 Asy 5 and got good experience. After change to F1SS I can tell it is much better than F1Asy5. Much less traction problems.
Probably whatever you choose you will be happy. Tires are the most important part in car and easiest way to tune car.
