225/45 18 MXM4 or A/S 3 for bumpy roads?

I need to get some thicker/softer tires due to the absolute crap roads where I live. I love to drive fast as all hell on back roads, but most of them around here are so bumpy and full of holes I have to creep around corners.

Was thinking about the Primacy MXM4 or Pilot A/S 3 in 225/45 size to get the most comfort/performance I can. Anyone have any better ideas? Comfort is a must without sacrificing too much handling

Thanks

If you really want a better ride rather than throwing off your speedometer I'd recommend a set of 17'' wheels. I would have set 16'' wheels but 17's are the smallest that'll fit over your Brembo brakes.

I thought about 17's, but I really like the stock rims. Thinking I might try 225/45 18 Conti extreme DW's first as they seem to be pretty comfortable for a summer tire, or so I have heard. If that doesn't work I guess I can move my way down to UHP all season or even grand touring. I bought this car to go fast on back roads, but unfortunately the pavement is ***** so trying to find a happy medium between not getting my teeth knocked out from bumps and cornering grip.

thanks

This is a give or take situation. To have better handling, you need stiffer sidewalls. To have your car not feel like its falling apartt, you need much softer tires. Pick your poison.
I think the stock conti were the best median for comfort and handling, but they are pricey last time I checked.
