+35 would be good for a 18X8.5. if you want a little more aggressive than +30 would be good too. the wheels would only rub in the rear tho, not the fronts, and thats only if your pretty low. im on pedders and i could fit a 10" wheel back there and not rub.

my wheels are +35 and i like the fitment. if you get wider wheels with the same offset theyl poke a little more. id say my wheels are pretty flush (not "hellaflush")

they look nice. And you said you are on 18x8.5? Does it look like you may use +40 and be nice and flush?

245/40/18 on obv stock rims. Rubbed in the rear a little so I rolled the fenders. Going to order new tires and they will be 235/40/18 for the rear and 255/35/18 front. KDW2's now and forever, Love these tires.

Just thinking actually that I may get the CF5 in 18x9 instead of 18x8.5
When I've looked at them, I must had misread it because I could swear I saw them either in 18x8.5 or 18x10, but I've seen that they also come in 18x9. Probably they are better to fit 255s

my ideal setup on a cobalt would be 18x9+ 35 with 245/40/18. contact patch is very important too, you dont wanna be running 7.5" rims with huge ass tires you wont gain anything. also 18x8.5 +30 with 245's is a good setup too.

Just right now I have stockers rims and tires with 15mm spacers in the front. They are nice and flush, and once I get the new rims and tires, I would like to get them with enough offset to keep the same flush but removing the spacers. I need to know if 18x9 +35 will be the equivalent of stockers plus 15mm spacers

No, the equivalent of stock+15mm spacers is 18x9 +46 That size will put the inner edge 9/10ths of an inch closer to the strut than a stock wheel tire(no spacer)

18x8 +38 245/40-18 DStar specs (which run wide)

Only rubbed in rear with 3 people in car, and only over bumps. Pedders.

Yes fit them using a 5mm spacer. The handling kind of improved due to more meat on the ground.

No im being serious. I ran around on those for months.......no issues of rubbing or shaking. I think it handle a whole lot better then stock lol. Im even lowered on Sportlines. Trust me tho there is no room left once they are tucked in there lol.

He was talking to me. No just 275/40R17's up front with stock 18" tires on the rear. Lowered on Sportlines.

I want the OZ Allegeritas in 17" with a 255/35 or 255/40, 17x8 with 40mm offset, any clue what size spacer I will need?

Well, after you install the rims, it is better because you can determine exactly what spacers you need. Get the rims first and then you see

agreed. The tires look like theyre ready to jump off the wheel. It looks great just not the safest thing to do.

So basically you're saying that on sportlines with 275/40-17 in front, you are far from rubbing?

That's great news, you're giving me hope about 265/30-18. The only thing is that I like the same rim/tire size in the rear as well
