^^^ very very very nice, and dont worry about the condensation unless it stays, all lights condensate because of difference in temperature
Yea I know, I shouldve done much better than I did. I hate trying to chase cars down after they pull on me because Im slow spooling.
I know, but afraid I cant run wide enough tires and I really want the red ones.

245 40 18 star specs on 9.5 inch PF01
racing I use 265 metric radials on emk3 before PF01 were released.
Time attack used A4 Hoosiers (A6 did not exist at that time) 245 40 17 on 9.5 inch wheels, and tire warmers
wheel width is critical for track performance. Here is what Hoosier say:
Front Wheel Drive
Vehicles configured with FWD are probably the most difficult application for a tire setup. The combination of steering, braking and accelerating on the front tires, combined with higher corner weights for the front positions produce a harsh environment for the tire. These vehicles will typically have a strut type of suspension which limits camber gain. All these factors result in conditions which require the tire do more work than a simple chart for pressures can accommodate.
In severe cases front tire pressures for FWD vehicles can run in the 48-52 psi (hot). In cases where the tire size is limited to a relatively small tire, the required pressure can run even higher. The front to rear pressure differential on FWD cars can have extreme ranges of inflation, depending on the driver preference, suspension tuning, and track configuration.

Right now I'm on stockers with 15mm spacers in front and 5mm in the rear. With the Forgestar CF5 18x9 and tires 255/35, what kind of offset I need to get rid of the spacers but still have the wheels flush with the fenders?

on emk3 5 x 110 x 8 inch the wheels were too narrow. That picture is from 2008. I run 5 x 114.3 @ 9.5now and its much better. The picture on slicks was stock LNF Brembo rotors and calipers. I run floating rotors now same diameter, but 2 mm thicker and a better material, more expensive thick cheek racing rotor.
If you want to run wheels without spacers you need to have about 38mm offset but it is also dependent on the design of the wheel spokes, you can have the correct offset but not enough clearance for calipers due to spoke design.
Most if the newer Enkei wheels will work fine. Older wheels like the RF series Emkei maybe a struggle to clear Brembos. New Buick Regal GS calipers are bigger still and will be a challenge to fit in most wheels. Enkei PF01 are good for practically any Caliper set up, but you need 5 x 114.3 to get the range of offsets and widths you need, 5 x 114.3 is a more popular pcd/more cars/more potential sales. Mustang is 5 x 114.3 for example

That depends do you want flush out the tire or rim. a 255/35 on a 9' with a 35 offset will poke the rim and tire. a 40 offset on a 9 inch will have the tire sit flush with the fender.

^^^ right. And the extra .5 inch when you go to 9.5 st 40 mm will (iirc) crash into the strut. 9.0 is a good compromise width if you want to run decent tires. On a Cobalt you will 100% have to roll the fenders, and you will wear the plastic inner liner; and if you have an SC and run a silly aftermarket 3 inch inlet tube you will probably rub that unless you do some decent install mods, and relocate the maf /filter tube higher up in the fender well.

wow i didnt think this size tires would fit undr these cars.
i rocked 18x8.5 +42 offset with 225/40/18 and they rubbed like a son of a ***** in the front on the strut towers and fender.
now im running 17x7 +38 offset with 215/45/17
