Buying new tires for SS/TC, couple of options
Alright so some time ago I made a thread to see what suggestions people got for tires I should get for my SS. I narrowed down some choices and now creating a poll for people to vote in to help me get the best option.
These tires are to be used from March to December so I need something that will not only be good on dry roads but wet as well.
Thanks in advance.

I have been pleased with the Goodyear GT's.
These.
Traction is better than the Conti OEM tires , and these are good in the rain as well. Cornering ability is slightly less than the Conti, IMHO.
These have rim protectors which I prefer - the Michelin Pilot Sports were wonderful, but did not have the rim protectors.
Good Luck !

well.. i'll tell you something. i had RE11s on my care for a couple weeks as well. and the DW feels very similar honestly. the RE11s i think might have gripped more. but i couldn't feel it in the way i was driving daily

Conti extremes DW or DWS are a downgrade from stock I'd advise against either. The sidewalls are much softer than the CSC2s or the newer SCS3s. Extremes are the mid grade conti. Don't get me wrong the DWS is a great all season just not very performance based.
I like my GMAX AS-03s. They are made by conti and I haven't seen a bad review on them yet. If your not seeing cold or snow I say go for the nittos or the new star spec replacement tire just released.
Oh and get 235s.
And if you narrow it down PM Doc he'll steer you in the right direction.

I guess I could rephrase my previous statement also. The DW may out perform the stock CSC2s but they are old tech tires and have been replaced with the CSC3s.
I'm pretty familiar with contis also as I've driven many cars with all types of contis on them. The DW is a very competitive tire for the price and the DWS offers amazing light snow traction with decent dry performance. I just personally don't feel the DW is better based on my experience. But that's just an opinion anyways so take what you want from it. Another opinion would be stay away from contis and get some nittos, direzza zII, or Bridgestone pole positions if your not seeing snow or cold.
