Fast Rennen 18x9 +40 Wheels
These with 255/35/18 Nitto Invo's will be my new summer setup until I get my 2015 or 2016 Camaro SS 1LE (I'm going to wait for the new design and then decide which one to pull the trigger on).
I had these custom drilled, but I see Fast Wheels has the 5x110 option available on their site now. I think they will custom drill pretty much any wheel you want that is designed for a 5 bolt PCD. My cost was under $1000CDN shipped to my door from canadawheels.ca.
I will be ordering the Invo's this week.

They are a Canadian Company too. They were shipped to me directly from their headquarters in Quebec. They are made in Taiwan though. They look good and they fit my budget better than the Forgestar F14's that I had my eye on for the past few years.

If my Slobalt looks half as good as this Beemer, I will be happy! I might have to copy the Satin Blue paint job too!

Mine is a 2007. They should clear Brembo's by a mile. They are 9" wide and the spoke design is very BBK friendly. If anyone local to me wants to drop by, I can do a test fit to confirm.

At +40 offset, I think I should be OK. I have Progress springs with 3/8" shims under the rears. My 235/35/19 Invo's were rubbing without the 3/8" shims, but not with them. 255/35/18 Invo's are .4" shorter than 235/35/19's, so I think I should be fine. I am prepared to do a little finder work if needed though. I will keep you guys posted.

255/35/18 Invo's have been ordered. I'm guessing I should have them by wed. or thurs. New drilled and slotted rotors with black zinc coating were delivered yesterday. They should help complete the look. Hopefully I can get everything on the car next weekend.

Edit: Slight change of plans. discount tire direct won't ship Nitto's to Canada and they would cost me $300 more if I bought them in Canada. I ordered Hankook V12 Evo K110's instead.

I did a test fit today before I started my brake job. As you can see in the first pic, I have a little over an 1/8" between the wheel and strut. I have contacted Mr.Powell re. ordering some spacers. I think 3mm should be plenty to give me a little wiggle room once the tires are on.
I wasn't able to get the tires mounted and balanced today because I slept until 11 and my local tire shop closes at noon on saturdays. I booked an appointment for next saturday.
My tires are pretty much exactly the same overall width (10 1/4") as the wheels, so I don't think they will stick past the back of the wheel much, if at all.
We will have to wait until next sat. to see how much fender massaging will be needed. I'm hoping none, but that is probably wishful thinking.

The wheels are on the car! Spacers were not needed and there is no rubbing anywhere. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out!

Did you read post #18? They are on the car and they DO NOT RUB! I took measurements off of my 19x8.5 last fall before I took them off the car. They are about 3/16" from the struts up front and nowhere close to the shocks in the rear. The key here is the 35 profile sidewall. Guys who are running 245/40/18's (there are lot of them) are more likely to rub the fenders because they are almost a full inch taller than my tires.
They would not work with an aggressive drop without a lot of fender work in the rear. I am on Progress Technologies springs and have added a 3/8" shim under them. I tried running without the shims last summer and my 235/35/19 tires rubbed over big bumps. With the shims in, they didn't rub at all.
The shims look like this:
They were 3/4" thick in the pic. I have since cut them down to 3/8". They are made out of a weatherproof PVC sheet material called "AZEK".
