Has one ever ran the Hankook Ventura rs-3 would you recommend them? I'm looking to get them in 255/40/17's also how well does that tire size fit our cars? Would you suggest any other tires, looking for something track worthy but still streetable.

But back to your question I never had experience with hankook performance tires only off road tires they where ok lasted a few years about normal for tires as long as there speed rated you should be fine.

RS3s are the best extreme performance tire in terms of the longevity to performance ratio. I've ran that size and they were awesome for autocross.

Unless you have coilovers, the fronts probably won't clear the strut. The rears will poke and might cause some clearance issues, depending on how low your car is.

I have 255/40/17 Yokohama AD08's and they run FAT, even with a 17x8 32mm offset rim, they rub on the subframe or tranny case on hard full lock turns.

I just picked up a pair of 245/40/17 Rival's and they should fit a lot better.

This is on my IRL, so fitment on Balt's may be different.

So probably need to go with 245/40/17 then instead like viperoni was saying

Maybe. RS3s run a bit wide compared to a UHP or all season. I actually meant the wheel might not clear the strut (without spacers). I'm on coiovers now, so I can't give you a measurement. All I can tell you is that +30 with a 255 will clear the strut and if you can get different offsets, +45 in the rear will reduce poke and provide the most clearance.

I'm currently on 18x9.5's +35 offset no spacers and I don't have any issues
Of course, that's on 235's tho
