I don't want to spend to much but I also don't want a crappy tire. Should I go to walmart? or discount tire? any good places you guys know of or any good tire brands I should be looking at? I just wanted some opinions before I go out and buy. oh yea there 18'' gunmetal wheels.

I have BFG g-Force Sports. Great tire, but not cheap.

I've ridden on Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs twice and love them for $70/tire.

This is what discount tire is offering

Kumho Ecsta SPT 140.00 per tire

Yokohama ADVAN Sport 204.00 per tire

Good deal?

i like tireeasy.com very fast shipping and very cheap... but the tires are old... not used just made a year or so ago, nothing wrong with that as long as they rotate them so the oil in the tire doesnt go to one spot and creat a flat spot

I'm in the same boat, need tires very badly (realized how badly yesterday while doing an oil change). Has anyone had any experience with the Goodyear Eagle GT? They are a relatively new tire but tirerack.com seems to like them and I has connections to the local Goodyear dealer. I drive it hard and would like a tire that lasts. I'll be balancing and mounting them myself so that's no issue in terms of pricing.

end threadjack

I'm going with Goodyear performance tire. There putting a slighty bigger width on they said there is more options and it will save me money.

225/45/18 are a larger diameter than stock. I would have gotten 225/40/18's. If they are rubbing, take them back.

I don't know what there return policy is I bet its a bitch! They convinced my to get these bigger tires and said "SS drivers put these on all the time !" I was really really weary about it and almost said no but i didn't. I'll give them a call tomorrow and tell them. I'll go with your size I take it that size looks good and handles good? The 45R18's looked SWEET and rode great until they threw the W into the picture.

The "W" is the load rating. It has nothing to do with the size of the tire. 225 is the width of the tire in mm and 45 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width. That is why they are bigger. The stock tires are 215/45/18's. 225/45/18's are .3" bigger than stock.
