Loud humming noise

so I'm in a bit of a tough spot, i have a loud consistent hum coming from the left front of my car , I know it could be my bearing but there's absolutely no play in my bearing ... however my tire is separated , cords showing and worn bald on the inside ( from last season and my old cobalt ) there's no alignment issue in my new lnf, the noise changes on wet roads and it doesn't get louder or quieter when taking corners . Is this most likely a wheel bearing issue or possibly just a shot tire ?

You're driving on **** tires. They obviously need to be changed asap. A wheel bearing can wait. Plus you said it feels solid.

Buy tires since you need to and then see if it goes away or not.

they're getting changed tomorrow but I was told I could have a shattered bearing inside of my wheel bearing .. which is what I'm confused about lol

Sounds good. I guess you'll know better tomorrow then.

If you weave left to right does it change noise?

no the noise stays the same and consistent only time I've heard it change is on wet pavement but I was told today that tires don't make the hum sound I'm getting ... just weird that there's absolutely no play on the wheel bearing and also doesn't sound anything like what my boyfriends sounded like when his was shot

Sounds like the tires if the sound changes with water being on the road.

+1

Tires can hum depending on how shot they are and the wear pattern they have. Whoever said they can't is an idiot.
