New Tires

I have two questions 1. I need new tires I have no tread left lol. I am looking for the best all season tires and i was wondering which brand do you guys recommend. 2. My tires are losing pressure if i fill them up to 35-40 psi after a about a month they go down to 15-20 psi and i need to fill them up again

I second the Conti DWS for an all season.

What do you mean

Walk into a store and say you want tires. What do you think they are going to ask you?
Winter?
Summer?
Performance?
Commuter?
Etc.

Do you walk into the barber and say cut my hair, or do you tell him the style that you want so he can satisfy you?

Holy crap don't let your DD tires ever get down to 15-20psi. And you're filling them up to 40psi? most likely too high. Good god man. I can see it now, FR 25PSI FL 40PSI RR 30PSI RL 15PSI. Insanely dangerous.

Do us a favor and spend some good money at a trusted tire dealer. Get 4 quality winter tires. You should not be riding on little treadwear ever much less at this time of year and at your location with this winter we're having.

When will people realise tires are one of the most important thing's on your car.

Sigh.
Performance?
Do you drive aggressive?
Track ever?
Street race?
Commute?

Get something quick you can't keep riding on what you are. Pushing your luck.

Kyle09TC 02-03-2015 05:03 PM

Get a set of Continental DWS and call it a day.

user 72239 02-03-2015 05:05 PM

Had Conti DWS. they were ok.

I switched to Nitto Motivo and those were awesome all seasons.

I know money is an issue when it comes to certain items, but, if you are driving this thing in snow, do yourself a favor and get winter tires to use in winter, and keep the all seasons on when the snow and ice is gone. All seasons aren't good in snow. When new they will grip alright, but on unsalted roads with fresh powder your going to slide or get stuck.

This is what happened to me when I finally decided to get snow tires, Going about 20mph and someone stopped and I slowly started sliding in slow-mo. Bought Bridgestone Blizzaks for it afterwards & I find myself an idiot now for not having been using snow/winter tires prior to this year. Grips fantastic!

When an AWD Subaru is sliding around on a snowy road and my sh** box Cavalier is ready to fly by them without a slip that's just pathetic. :wtf:

I've been in the ditch with my Cobalt too. Snow tires are well worth the investment. Places like Les Schwab can even set up a payment plan for you. People who think they don't need winter tires for their AWD vehicles simply lack common sense that states that all cars stop the same. A lot of fender benders could be avoided if the driver who was trying to stop suddenly simply had the right tires.

Idk i had for like 2 weeks theyre great i was driving 75 on the way home from work on the highway with half a inch of fresh wet slushy snow and not even a slip i have unbelievable grip to the road theyre new set of tires Pirelli designed and the test results were the best for Ultra high performance all season tires

blueLNFftw 02-28-2015 10:26 AM

It's about stopping.
