Noob help meee
The price difference between 225/40/18 and 215/45/18 is pretty big for some reason. I bought ss/sc rims for my balt (I'm lug dont worry, not that big of a noob) and wanna know if 225/40's will work on em. I'm lookin at a used set nd wanna make sure they work, but theres also a new set I can get for 340, of the 225/40's. And these are gonna be only summer/spring wheels so if you know of any "less expensive" tires that you would recommend let me know. The set for 340 are NANKANG NS20 40R R18 TIRES.
Biggest question is will 225/40s fit SC wheels |
yes.

Yup. I run them on my SS/SC wheels

Thaankk youu. Been lookin at this shit forever haha. Either of you familiar with achilles? theyre 86 a tire shipped so I'm leaning towards them
|
or falkens for 87 a tire
|
I've had achilles. Very loud tire. I run Falken FK-452's. I love them, Very soft and grippy.
|
245 also works ^_^

I buy my tires from a Mexican off craigslist lol. I just got two for my girls car yesterday for $80 mounted and balanced. I never buy "brand new" tires anymore.

^ Even bigger chain stores, like Discount Tire, you can find pretty good used tires for cheap.
I got 2x Conti ExtremeContact DWS with 90% tread left on each for $90 OTD. I got lucky on the tire, but a store like that probably wouldn't sell you shit either. |

u gotta be kidding me. those falkens have like no grip, and in wet and cold awful. Falken refer to them as "good for drifting." Try a real tire lol to compare.
