Ok I have a 06 ss sc 5x110 ok my question is the OEM offset is 42 what is the min offset I could go there's a set that I want but the offset is 40 and there is another that is 38 so would this be a problem if I would go with this offset

Depends on the width of the wheel too. If youre staying around the stock width, both of those offsets will work

Yep.

I run +38 offset 7.5" wide wheel. No issues.

yea your good .... i run a 18x8 +40 offset on my ss/sc and they clear my brembos too
