Polishing stock 17's

What do you guys recommend i use to polish the rims? Im gonna be claying and waxing the car this weekend so id like to clean the wheels up as well. Would it be ok to wax the rims as well or will that hurt the polished finished on them. TIA.

Regular car wax will be just fine. I suggest Mother's since I biased on my car cleaning products!

Mothers is the way to go. You should always wax your rims, it helps keep the brake dust build-up to a minimum. If you can find a Teflon wax, even better.

don't use car wax...they make wax specifically for different types of wheels. mother's has these products.

does anyone know what the coating is on the 17s?

I just bought LUCAS wheel polish that is safe for clear coats.... can be used on paint and windows too!!! this stuff removes road tar from the inside of the rims w/ relative ease.

BTW I have the polished 18's
