my base LS cobalt runs 205/55/16s all around on stock 16x6 4 lug wheels

whats the widest I can mount on there without rubbing issues in front?

I bet you're going to run into the tires being too wide for the wheels before you run into rubbing issues.

235s won't rub but will be way too wide for a 16x6.

Grab some 17x9 wheels and you can get 235 on there.

I fit 245/40-17s on the front of mine. All depends on wheel offset and ride height.
