Hey guys new to the forum here! So I made a dumb mistake with my 08 lnf with 47xxx miles. While putting new plugs in it I had to remove my upper injen charge pipe. Before reinstalling it I cleaned it with a polish compound being that it's a "polished pipe" forgot to wipe the connecting ends of the pipe with carb clean before I clamped it in and when I drove into work the next day a subie thought he was fast on the hiway l so I had to drop to third and blow him away of course and right before I was going to let off to slow down the upper pipe blew off because it was to slippery. I was at max boost which was about 23psi when it let go. I gentally drove home not knowing what actually happened. opened the hood then saw that remembered the polish cleaned it put it back on took it for a test and that's when it started. It's was over boosting to 35psi and the turbo was making a loud flutter noise under light throttle that was causing the car to buck like crazy because of the boost freaking out. I put it away drove it the next day and it wasn't as bad did the same again the next day got better. I drove it for about 5 mins at a time, ran it and parked it like that a few times and now it's close to normal but has the slight flutter howl noise at 0 psi "so no vacuum" at lower rpms. Any ideas what might have happened to it? What's causing it to flutter?

Here's a video before it got better it still sounds like this but it's very slight now

Sounds like it's stuck shut. Have you done the vaccum tank delete? Mods? Are you tuned?

I bought the car with:

HP tuned ecm
AEM intake
Injen upper charge pipe
Engine wise

I just installed zzp down pipe 400 cell after it happened and I pulled the bpv out to check the diaphragm and spring and it seemed to be okay. I haven't done anything to the vac tank either

If you aren't going to 20 vacuum and only to around 0 don't be going full throttle. Are you sure you got the bpv back in right because it sounds like it's stuck.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. When I said at 0 psi "so no vacuum" in the first post I was just saying it's not making boost or vacuum so the happy medium is when it flutters while driving. I was trying to avoid confusion but did the opposite lol. It does make 20 vac at idle. Here's a example for you to help understand.
While driving 55mph in 5th gear making only 5psi if I let off the throttle very slightly NOT COMPLETELY just enough so the boost gauge drops quick to 0 and stays at 0 it will start fluttering

the BPV is stuck. take it apart and examine it. Every time you let off the gas, the boosted air has nowhere to go but force its way past the compressor (which if you remember only spins in one direction). That is the fluttering sound your hearing.

Do you have a recirculating BPV (The factory unit) or is there an aftermarket BOV/BPV on the car?
