Making too much boost on ZZP tune?
Hi all,
I somewhat recently got a tune (by mail) from ZZP for my cobalt in addition to a K&N intake and ZZP's charge piping. I have noticed at WOT boost pressures spiking up to 27psi and holding at 25-26psi. My question is whether or not this is safe or if I'm going to very prematurely wear the turbo or other components. The motor in the car is an LDK motor also from ZZP that is otherwise stock. The car runs awesome I just don't have any desire to push the turbo to its absolute limit if it's not somewhat "safe".

Zzp based their tune off of atmospheric level much higher than what alot of people are so for alot of people their tune is 25+ psi It being that high will hurt your turbo if you have bolt on and a tune but not if you're stock otherwise.
Pressure is restriction to flow. Zzp doesn't use that much timing that's why engines don't blow on their tune but that boost pressure is high.
Send them a log or ask them to change a table to turn the boost down.
