GM Stage Kit Reflash, any difficulties from dealer?
Has anyone here has a GM Stage 2 kit reflashed by the dealer recently? I have a brand new GM Stage 2 kit sitting in the box that I bough back in the day, and I finally want to put it on and take it in to the dealer for them to reflash. I called one dealer, and they were complete retards that had no clue. It probably didn't help that I told them that I have an Ion Red Line. I look on CED's website, and it seems that only the Stage 2 is still available while GM S1 seems to have been discontinued. I would like to get this installed before Stage 2 is eventually discontinued. I just want to see if anyone else has been able to get their newly installed GM Stage 2 kits reflashed to their Cobalts in the last few months.

Right, I understand about the reflash code and all that documentation. I still have all of it. My concern is that the reflash is no longer available from GM, or they don't have it in their system any longer. That's why I'm curious if anyone has had a GM Stage kit installed recently. Any GM techs here that can confirm if the reflash is still available in the GM system?

You can still purchase GMS2 new from CED. Contact TOM at CED. He will let you know.

Try a different dealer.... most dealers don't know about the performance kits available for GM cars.

Listen to staged. They have to have that reflash number and call some phone number in order to obtain the reflash. They looked at you crazy because they have never done it before.
