Just make sure youve got a plan of attack before you start this, dont just start tearing two cars apart, lol.
lol, yea i been putting together a plan of attack. I was going to just get a blank unibody but i figured hell with it, its taking too long to get that. I'm going to rent out a boat shed to do the work though. My passenger airbag did blow. So yea im gonna have to get that. Im going to get the manual for both cars before i start. And yes im a professional technician for ford. But yea...im going for it! just got to get the ok from my bank to get that 2.2. I guess ill be parting the 2.2 out on here for some extra cash for my new paint job too.

hey maven you seem to be a guru of sorts...are you absolutely positive the 160 speedo will swap over with no calibrations into the 2.2 base? and badboylb32 i would suggest stripping the 2.2 first and start putting parts back on it as you take them off the ss...thats how i have done a couple cars and it wa alot easier than stripping them both at the same time and mixing up parts...when are you getting it btw? i can think of some 2.2 parts im lookin for

Ok this might be a dumb question but I have no idea what the difference is between the FE 3 or FE 5 suspension mods could someone please clarify because I m trying to go to the junk yard this summer when it gets warm again and strip a front sway bar and dp off a 2.0 to fit on my 2.2 and i want to know what to look for thanks. On a side note how much bigger is the 2.0 sway bar over the 2.2 and could you find a better one aftermarket instead of swapping a 2.0 and for the downpipe how much bigger is it then the 2.2 I m wondering if its worth it because i m trying to piece together a complete exhaust system this summer pacesetter header, lsj dp, and a custom bent cat prob. 2.5" straight back with a magnaflow muffler. Thanks for any and all info.

FE3 is in the 2.4 SS/Sport FE5 is on the SS Supercharged. I don't remember the diameter of the Sway bars. I know it's significantly bigger. Don't Get the pacesetter, they sound like crap and they require a custom downpipe. If your gonna strip and LSJ grab the header and dp they are great improvements over stock.

It will fit, but youre better off just putting a supercharger on your current engine than trying to make an LSJ work in an LTZ

So If I got LSJ injectors they'd work with a tune? Would a dealer do this or di I have to have someone like trifecta put it in a tune?

Also, they forgot the cams are swapable too. They are made from the same casting according to GM Tunersource... I was reading up on it last night.

Not all the cams are swappable between all the models thats why it's not on there.

dealers do not tune your car, they cannot adjust the tune, just view it and flash it with current one from GM - thats about it..
they will not flash your car to make something work, they will not flash an ss tune on an ls/lt, etc
