any1 care to explain or give details as to why the 07 sc's are faster than 05-06? i hadn't heard this until this post.

This is not what Im experiencing. I wrote a tread about it. My friend has a Cobalt SS/SC 2006, stock with an Injen intake only and I have a 07 ss/sc with stage 2 and a R.A.W. intake and I can only be barely a car in front of him from a 40 roll until the end of the third gear!!!

I tried also with a 07 ss/sc with the same mods than me and we are even! lol! And I know well my friend with the 06 ss/sc hes like a newbie in mechanics and doesnt even know too much about tuning and performance upgrade except for the exhaust parts, intake, etc. I justly suggested the Injen and installed it for him!

 

damn i would love to run a 50 shot with my mods see how that works. gonna start reading and looking up systems and info about it since i never messed with it before

 

If the 06 is slower then the 07..

False information. 05/06/07 all have the same magical LSJ. Can some be faster, yep..
Raced 2 LSJ's yesterday at Auto - X, typical 2.8 build. Another bone stock. They both came within a couple tenths of eachother.
Didnt do too bad, They both beat a bolted CSRT. The TC finished 4th out of 20 :P

had mine for over 2 years now no problems .... some peeps snapped them do to installing them wrong .... not saying you did, but that was a common reason for failure.

 

Let me guess from a 40 roll or 1/4 mile?



Sure, bring that wonderful front end set up, and brakes out onto the road course up here and you can run me with my tuned ECU and hoosiers on.
