Considering he has nearly double the HP I'd hope he won...in fact I'd be willing to bet he sinks more money into it after the race being that close...@440whp it should have been a larger margin than that...nice driving esp on the exit from turn 2ish .

that wasnt much of a loss you kept with him if not pulled a little on some parts. What kind of racing is this i have never seen anything like that ever drag circle track?

It looked like he cut you off coming into turn 3. You would've had him if it wasn't for that!

This was a $1000 to win (winner takes all) "King Of The Hill" race at the Delaware Speedway here in London Ontario.
Elimination style: Two cars line up at the start, 1 lap around and the looser goes home. Last car left standing is the KOTH, from $200 - $1000 to win.

In Turn 3 and I though that he would be faster and was planning to ride his bumper and slingshot to the outside to get my cornerspeed/exitspeed up, but things got messy. He was wayyyy too dam slow and I had to lift. Now I am out $1000 AND paint scuff on my bumper

you were much faster in the corners for sure. that also appeared to be the slowest 400whp subaru of all time lol

The owner was not talking much (not to me anyway), but down in the pits people was saying he was running a bigger turbo, 25psi and a "Cobb" tune or something...

This is not so much a HP track. It is about momentum and cornerspeed. By the time you get on the gas to use your BIG HP numbers the car with the higher cornerspeed will have you by atleast a car and then the backstraight is just not enough to help. I know that for fact - I ran my 525RWHP Cobra there quite a few times.

i see your point. and i guess the fact you were pulling so hard out of the corner made it appear slower. good race

yea if you looked on the straights his car would immediately start pulling.. he clearly needs suspension mods if he was braking that hard to make those turns though 1000 whpo in a car doesn't mean crap if you have to slow down to .2 mph to do any sort of turning

awesome race though didn't expect it to be that close

This isnt drag racing, so hp doesnt matter that much here. You cut the apex of 1 and 2 perfectly and got by him on lap 1, thats was a great move.... Nice to see a bone stock tc keeping up with that modded Sti! Some of the crowd sounded stunned.... lol This little thing handles wicked. I have rear sway bar now + the tune... Get it!!!! Car is not for noobs with that sway bar on tho.... not as forgiving on exits..

How about the cobalt having the inner lane the whole time? I love my cobalt but lets be real here, the STI was stuck on the outside the whole time, he had to run X% more than the cobalt and still won. No one has brought this up.

Yeah i just put my big bar on for an autocross today... I won, and the car was amazing with that bar.

But on a fast track with that thing, if you lift or brake mid corner you ARE going to spin definitely not for beginners, it completely takes away that understeer that would save a lot of mistakes.

Id run this big bar at calabogie I think, although it would be sketchy through (16?) I think, the blind flat right hander before the back "straight"
