I have seen some members on here who have roof racks on their car. I'm going to be taking up kayaking and will need a roof rack for my car. It seems some members have the yakima roof rack system. What all am I going to need to mount a kayak? I've never messed with any roof racks before so I am kinda in the dark. So let me get this straight, I will need the bars with the mounts first. How do I know if a rack will fit my car? Since our cars do not have rain gutters, I need the Q-clips right? Also after I get the rack on the car I will need the mounts to attach to the rack to fit the kayak in, correct? Is there any place that I can buy all this as one package? On yakimas website everything is broken up separately. So can someone who has a roof rack give me some links as to what I need to buy, because it seems like there is more to these things than I had originally thought!

You might actually be the first person on here to buy a roof rack and actually use it as intended.

at last I think I found everything I need! This doesnt come with the...uhhh...wind breaker piece but I can maybe pick that up later down the road. Check it out. This website is a lot cheaper than yakimas official website. And a bonus is everyhting is bundled together as a nice package deal.
