hid kit for projector

hid kit for projector

i'm gonna buy an hid kit for my projectors just wondering why does it say on the projectors where the bulbs go in "hid bulb not allowed" or whatever...what should i know before buying the kit besides that i need i think h1?

should be fine, HID bulbs run cooler at 35w than traditonal halogen which run at 55w. Other then that search for the how to and you should be good to go. Only craft work you have to do is drilling the hole for the return lead

You may need to use a dremel to you projectors to get the hid bulbs to fit thru. I had to make a tad larger hole.

oh really? so like an h1 HID bulb wont fit in the standard h1 socket on the projectors? why part doesn't fit?

on my old 1st gens i had to do that...but on my 2nd gen ccfl's there was no modification needed to get them to fit !

you just grind down the inside of the hole all the way around. but you only have to take a tiny tiny bit off. you will prob be using the dremel for 10 seconds each light.

anyone have the 3rd generation ones yet with an hid kit installed? and after you dremel this say you want to go back to stock will the stock bulbs go back in or will they be loose?

no dremel with the third gens.. i have em with 6000k hids.. works fine no fittment problems either..

i got my hids off of ebay and i dont care what anyone has to say bout em they work great.. you dont always get what you pay for.. i got more than what i paid for.. lol
