Finally!!!!

Had my SS for about 8 months now and been too busy with a new job and getting ready for deployment to ever do anything with it. I broke down today and ordered an Injen CAI and a Magnaflow exhaust setup. I ordered them from Modern Performance and they should be here Wednesday. I'll install them that evening, since it wont take but an hour or two max. I leave for Afghanistan Saturday so the mods will stop for about a year, but that gives me plenty of time to decide whether I want to go Stg 2 or build a kit myself. I'm hoping I'll see some change in the cars performance with the exhaust and intake but we shall see. I'll post pics after the install Wed. evening. Let the fun begin!!!!

Oh and if you're wondering about the pics in my signature........we can thank a faulty valve keeper for that. New valvetrain and head later, I was back in buisness. All of this was with 105 miles on the engine.

ahh if you get all that done it 2 hours your a pro. i had to take my front bumper off to install my injen thats pretty time consuming have to pull both headlights. exhaust i installed 3inch vibrant and i had my car lifted like 2 ft in the air and couldnt get the stock exhaust out without cutting it. the 3 inch went right up in i dont know how but it did all took me like 4 hours it was also freezing. youll def like he difference the combo makes.
lift and heat ftw

There's no reason to remove the bumper to install an injen. Jack up, remove driver front tire, splash guard in the fender, and just slip it through the hole

That's how I did it, no problems. No reason to remove the bumper. Waste of time.

Well after a trip down to houston...the 2 magnaflows they had in stock were not what we wanted and they had already shipped the injen intake. instead i cancelled the exhaust for now and picked me up a Hurst shifter. install took me about an hour and a half with little trouble. the intake should come in tomorrow and ill get that in. here's a picture i took with my phone, but ill get some of the intake and shifter tomorrow with the digital camera. now to make a quick trip to walmart to try out the new shifter

X2, I even did it in my stone driveway. You did way too much work to install a simple CAI.
